  5. Flour is used to make bread. I think it has something to do with the yeast, but I’m not sure. Flowers are plants that have unique and distinctive qualities. I mention this because flower and flour are spelled similarly and sound virtually the same. I imagine the only difference would be when someone has an accent?

  14. Flour sprinkles the kitchen counter as the little girl tries to pour it intp the bowl. Her mother adds eggs, vanilla, and sugar, then hands the girl a wooden spoon. “Time to stir it, sweetie.” The girl grins and mashes the spoon into the bowl, creating even more of a mess. Her mother doesn’t care, because they are both happy.

  17. i enjoy flour and you can use a it to make lots of different things. i like to use unbleached wheat flour and i am vegan so i do not make anything with milk. I usually use flour for pizzas that i make, i love flatbread pizzas and whatever. why am i writing about flower anyways.

  22. They don’t have a lot of flour here in Spain, like we do in the states. People generally buy their bread from a store. We buy big bags and eat it daily and bake cookies. Their diet is different. I’ve been smoking so much and drinking such good wine that I feel like I have flour in my lungs. I’ve been coughing up the flour. I have to attribute our over-use of flour to some of the illnesses we have that Spaniards don’t seem to.

  29. It’s a curious word–one prone to punning. Something that would come out of amelia bedelia, or however that book was spelled. Those books were kind of lame, if you think about it, but to a young kid, puns were the funniest thing on earth.

    Flour also makes cakes and cookies, so you can’t complain about that.
