  8. so one day my daughter decided to get the bag of flour out of our cabinet. she took the flour to the television and began to spoon it into bowls. making a huge mess. when i walked into the livingroom where she was happily stirring, much to my dismay she smiled at me and said Bizcut. When i said to her, what did you do! she said “where is daddy” my daughter is 2 and thinks she is rachael ray.

  9. Flour is the white stuff that is made into bread. It is not very fun to eat alone, but is an essential part of almost any sweet desert. That’s kind of interesting to think about, I guess. I’m kind of bittersweet like that.

  14. I just discovered this week, in my attempt to save money by cooking at home more, that flour is so much more versatile than just for use in baking! Soups? Frying? Dear lord, I always knew in the back of my mind, but never really KNEW.

  23. it’s white and puffy and all over the place. REmember that time dough got stuck to the counter because you didn’t use enough flour? those were still delicious cookies, even if they looked retarded. And it eventually came off the counter… it just took a while. Yeah. SO flour’s important.

  24. The flour was white. It reminded me of snow, except it wasn’t cold. It was light and if a bag of it ever exploded, you would see the particles fly up in a puffy cloud.

  35. christmas. on christmas day we wake up at 5 am to open presents (courtesey of my 11 year old sister) and then prepare for the gathering. She takes out the rolling board, i take out the flour. she takes out the ricotta, i take out the forks. she presses the dough flat, fills them with cheese, while i fork them to seal the deal. Raviolis. yum.

  39. I had a lot of things on my mind that day when I got home from school. I could hear my brother, Wolf, banging around in the kitchen, but it didn’t really concern me. Mostly what concerned me was attempting to hide that black eye and some how making the swollen lip look better than it was.

    But when I walked in the kitchen and saw my six foot, charming, football player brother in an apron and covered in flour… I figured he had a bigger problem.
