    It’s the only time they spend together, hunched over the card table, bathed in the florescent yellow light of their kitchen, thin fingers wrapped around colorful sheets of paper. They do not speak.

    She hates her mother. She hates her more and more with each delicate fold, with each neat crease, with each additional crane set aside.

    With 1000 paper cranes she will wish herself away. Anywhere but here.

  4. I creased the paper seven times and it stayed that way. This was supposed to be impossible – no sheet of paper would stay folded in half seven times, it would just be too thick.

    This would be the greatest scientific invention of the 21st century, and it had happened nine years in.

  5. Who knows what will become of this crease. Poor paper does not look as clean anymore because of this stupid wrinkle. Who’s bright idea was it to ruin a lovely white page with this stupid fold. People are not always that smart. Blegh haha

  12. I don’t like to fold my clothes, I just like to throw them in my room and let them wrinkle. They wrinkle when they’re folded, so what’s the point really? That or maybe I’m just lazy, cuz that seems to be how everybody is these days; straight up lazy.

  13. you make different sections in the paper. it can describe cell sequencing in folding of proteins. you can fold wallet. fold is spelled with four letters and has many different meanings. you fold blankets and clothes. i hate folding clothes at holister where i work. fold rhymes with bold and mold and sold and cold and rolled.

  14. paprer is folded it cannot be folded more then 8 times without unfolding i tried it once and this fact is true itmakes me so godammn mad but owell who cares t is just nonsense i don’t know why it bugs me it juts does man liek wtf? right anybody ese

  15. To entertain the little child, I taught him how to fold a napkin. We used the serviette. But just as I folded the first three parts, he got distracted by the other colourful shells in the room. He ran off and I was back to unfolding the napkin.

  26. many people fold things. Wheather it is a piece of paper or if it is a piece of laundry, folding is done in our day to day life.
    I often HATE folding. I had to do the laundry all the time when i was little. It sucks. Bad.

  31. you can fold a piece of paper a million ways. I’m pretty sure the most times you can fold one piece of paper is seven, but i’m not sure. Folding makes me think of oragami. Or laundry. I think I prefer oragami.

  32. a paper seam that divides the world between the leprechauns and the goblins….while one fights the other to the depths of the earth they finally find that they have more in common than they thought. that one fold brought together the younglings then tore them apart. Roses stuffed between the center fold are burned unceremoniously at the church.

  37. i hate folding laundry. i think all kids should fold laundry. it will help them be responsible. it will help little boys become better husbands (for when their wife is sick and throwing up from pregnancy or food poisoning).
