  1. Love makes fools out of all of us. I was wise once, but love came in and decayed any chance I had at wisdom. I was not going to be a fool for anyone, but I was fool, a slave for him. My eyes were blinded, my ears were deaf. The heartbeat he gave me was all I could hear, and the music was sweeter than anything I had heard before. (Though what I could hear and what I thought I could hear were two different things.) The echo of the warnings of my friends were all rendered useless on my dumb, foolish ears. A fool I was. A fool I would not stay.

  2. What fools these mortals be!
At first, at the Red Sox game, I thought, all these people following the crowd,
how useless. But when we stood for the national anthem and cheered for our
home runs, it somehow seemed valuable and healthy to be part of a group.

  3. We are all fools in our own ways. Be it, in our decision making, or just because we are too naive. We don’t realize that foolishness is all around us, which in turn makes us fools of our own.

  11. The entirety of the human race has become fools, she said, looking over the landscape. If they had stopped their madness in the first place, we wouldn’t be living like this, like rats. When the project to apparently ‘save the world’ by the relocation of a copy earth suddenly failed, both earths crashed together. That is how the end began, and we can never get ‘normal’ back.

  12. They were fools. Every single one of them who had poisoned their minds with the garbage that they knew would come out in extraneous ways. They knew there was a time to turn back, but they didn’t take the chance. Now that train is gone, and it won’t ever return.

I rolled my eyes, paying him no mind. “Get this idiot out of here; I don’t have time to deal with those who fear the queen’s magics.”
Two of my men wrapped their arms around him, hauling him out into the night.
“There.” I said as the door closed once more. “That’s much better.”

are the ones who cannot read
    between lines, between pages
    who sink to the levels
    where news doesn’t reach
a thick skull is just nature’s helmet
    after all, and sadness is
    the burden of intelligence

  19. I was in love with a boy in the 8th grade to the 10th grade. I was stupid to think it was love since all we did was hold hands and kiss. He didn’t love me. He told me so after we broke up. I hate him sometimes.

  20. I dated a guy when I was 14 years old and we broke up this past January after a year and nine months of dating. I loved him and he loved me…. Well, I thought he did. It’s so cliche, the thought of love. Two people feel some sort of weird attraction to each other, and they say, “Hey! We should hold hands and press our lips together frequently!” So then they are boyfriend and girlfriend. So they do some strange rituals together and after awhile, they eventually feel this strong sense of clinginess to the other that’s called “love”. I don’t really get it, but that’s how life has always been. Your parents probably felt it, their parents probably did, and so on. And humans are one of the only species that feel love! Why? Why can’t we just go up to someone, dance around in a circle while waving our arms and screaming like maniacs, then have sex with them? Because humans love to be in love. They love to feel like someone is there for them 24/7. They don’t think about the consquences, such as break-ups. I didn’t think I’d ever break-up with my ex (because relationships that start in the 8th grade always work out, right?). I thought of myself as a fool, but I guess I’m just a human.

  25. Fools are people who think that happiness, success, and peace somehow find you. That you don’t have to go searching for anything because if it was meant for you it would be there. That something you invest time in shouldn’t be hard, ever. That you don’t have to work for the things you love.

  27. “You are all fools!” He yells. Hamish and I strained to see the tiny man standing in the middle of the circle of people. “We have a chance to fight back, but you all are foolish cowards! At least we can die fighting! He has wronged us all, and we can get him back for what he has done for us!” The crowd nodded and murmured in agreement. “And yet, you stand here, scared of dieing! What is wrong with this town?! At least we’ll die fighting for our rights! This entire town has been put through a lot of things, and, we choose not to stand up!” Suddenly, the whole town was standing around him, trying to get a better look, trying to get closer. “Let’s do this!” A stranger yelled.

The clown sat down and performed his routine for the king, and the king bowed his head in respect for the clown. The clown than stole the king’s crown, and ran away before he could be caught. But the king was not a fool. The king went to the clown’s house and had it incredibly inspected.

  30. “Fools!” Excalibur exclaimed towards the onlooking students. The students were confused, quite baffled actually, looking ahead towards the small, white creature that strutted itself across the cobblestone pavement. He waved it’s cane in the air as if it was a tyrant, ordering his peasants around. Excalibur tip toed to Black Star, flinging his white cane into his face. “You there! You look familiar,” Excalibur stated in his almighty voice. Black Star wasn’t given a second to speak before Excalibur turned on his heel and stated, “Fool!” He turned his head the other way in disgust and poked his nose up high in the air. And of course, the face of Black Star was converted into the sour expression only Excalibur was able to bring out.
