  20. It’s a difficult word – it sound perjorative now, as if being foreign is somehow less worthy, something to look down on because it is unknown. I prefer the term different – that brings all sorts of possibilities like getting to know each other better.

The sun kissed my cheek. Its warmth spread to my entire body. And though I was far from my house, somehow I was home.

  24. foreign reminds me of accents, like french accents, russian, english, because they are all different from american accents-my kind of accent. foreign in general though is pretty much anything new or our of the ordinary-unknown, almost, to you. it’s pretty tight to learn new things, though. :)

  29. Foreign is being able to taste American water without fear of getting sick from it. It’s knowing your skirt is too bright for this crowd, but wearing it anyway, almost like waving a flag that cries out your nationality in a heavy street. Foreign hears English as a series of odd sounds, American speakers expressive, but not using their hands enough.

  36. Foreign is the word used to describe people belonging to other places or cultures. Usually a country has a foreign affairs department in their assembly of ministries which will take care of all the foreign affairs. It helps the foreigners who want to come to their country and visit the place etc.

  38. one of the places I’ve always dreamt of going to. Moving out to a foreign country would be a nice thing for me…the experience and all that. It’s a nice change to…a nice change in the environment…a new place where you can learn new things…make new friends and in some cases, start a new life.
