  2. Oh hi there.
    I’ve been looking for
    You
    I guess.

Nice to know that the ladybugs are coming back to life.
The orange light is painting the bricks again.

  3. I found myself when I stopped caring about what people thought of me. It didn’t matter if people judged me. I had to be myself, I could only be myself. I would only be happy if I was me. It didn’t matter to me the opinion that others had about me. The ones who care about me were the ones who didn’t care if I acted stupid, silly or outrageously annoying at times. My friends have found and accepted me. Finding someone who cares is important.

  4. I didn’t know what I was going to find that day. All I really knew was that it wasn’t going to be pretty.

I wasn’t expecting anyone to completely ruin the day, and I wasn’t expecting anyone not to. I guess I just didn’t expect to get completely and utterly crushed by the entire universe, pressing down upon my shoulders like a person that refuses to go away.

  5. One time i was just walking down the street and i found 20 dollars. i wish that i would have put it in a random strangers mailbox, but i pocketed it. the guilt ate me up so i bought my bf a tank of gas with it. yay.

  6. I found out out today what you’d been doing with all your spare time.

Tying knots and hanging them from the ceiling, but I don’t understand why it is you haven’t called yet. You said that you found me months ago but sometimes I think you lose me.

  7. i found out that when u sneeze, your eyes close and there are a lot of particles that fly out of your mouth and nose at great speeds. finding something on your own can be really exhilerating.

  9. The sad child does not smile.
The lonely girl does not play.
The lost one never does think
that someone might be looking for them today.

    She lies across her rooftop.
She stares at the glassy moon.
    She never believes that
    something good might happen soon.

    She sits upon unmoving swings.
    Shadows lurk near.
She knows there’s no one to push her
but yet she doesn’t shed a tear.

    She has beauty within,
that no one will ever hold.
    She has interesting stories,
    that will never be told.
Down inside she does have a personality,
    but it will never unfold.

You see, the sad girl does not mope.
She has gotten used to it.
The forgotten one holds no hope,
    but that is okay.
    For today,
she will climb in a tree
and gaze into the swirling skies.

    For the lost child
    has gotten used to it,
she is no longer so saddened.
So she shall make no cry or sound,
    just sit…
    and wait to be found.

  14. More shelves. My last owner kept me on a shelf. That’s why I left her, or let her “lose” me. If I thought the Lost and Found was going to be another monotonous misadventure, I could’ve stayed home. No one interesting shares their stories with me up here, and I guess now I can only wait to be found. The life of a missing doll…

  17. found is a weird word. found. lost and found. i found it. i lost my keys. can you really lose something if someone else has found it? is it possible to be lost and found at the same time? i lost it… she found it. found. once i found a dollar. it was a good day. i wish someone would find me…

  18. Lost things are a pain. They stress you out, and hurt you. But finding something brings joy. Even for the thing being found. Finding things is a little moment of happiness, a shock, but a good one. Someone who is found is recognized and loved again. Someone who has found something has filled up a hole in their hearts and minds. However, to find things, first we must loose them.

I had kept the bottle in my left hand the entire walk back to the vehicles. Thinking twice, I decided to discard the bottle into the gutter and never think about it again.

  24. I found it lying on the bottom of the old abaondoned pool. Curled in its own rusty waste, the bicycle tires were flat, like a discarded snakeskin. Everything about it was pathetic– the handlebars, the gears, the seat… especially its old rider, standing there looking down on it.

  30. The tarnished badge, in the old wooden box with the picture of someone without a name, only the sloping script of long ago: 1925. The dust that has settled but is more like a blanket that dulls the modern world, rather than hiding what’s underneath. The new of who is now old.

  31. I found a nice cat at the side of a dumpster and thought to myself it must have had a lonely life. I wanted to take it home with me but I knew my mother would say no. We have had several cats in our lives throughout the years and enough was enough. At one point we had 26 cats. Yikes, right?

  34. Lost.

    I’m lost.

I always seem to be lost, misplaced, forgotten. And then, when found, stumbled upon. No one was looking for me. I wasn’t found. I was tripped over. I was accidentally encountered.

That is, until you found me. Then, oh then, then I was something we had both lost but not known it.

    Lindsey
  35. i was once lost, but im still not found, God knows where im at, but He’s the only one. He even keeps it to himself. There is no light, until i hear your voice. Even in the darkness, i can find it. Listen to my voice as i give you landmarks, specific details, the sounds and smells of my location, and come in search for me. Help me. Help me to help myself. I need to be found.
