  1. She ran to use the bathroom, again, for the third time in two hours. A frequent pisser, that’s what she was. Almost giggling, the laughs tinged with a subtle cry, she sat down on the toilet she used every time. There next to her, above the paper holder, was a message written in black marker: “Susie’s stall.”

    Fuckers, they think it’s so funny. It’s really not. It’s a severe problem. They’ll understand when they get older.

  11. frequent? Frequently I do things that I don’t want to do. But more frequently I do things that I DO want to do. I’m spoiled like that. Even more frequently I just sit at home and don’t do anything, because I’m a bump on a log. No, I’ll just sit and let things happen to me instead.

  17. Frequently, I find myself… thinking? breathing? To frequent an area is to go there a lot. I.e. my room, or my boyfriend’s room, come to that. My best friend’s house. Frequency is created by the vibes that bounce between two people. Frequently, frequencies collide in the real world, technology reacting to itself in all its myriad forms.

  33. I frequently find myself craving something sweet. Whether it be ice cream or tea, just having a treat to calm the nerves and enjoy some relaxing quiet time is something that constantly tugs at me, though I tend to ignore it. If I were actually good about giving into the urge and allowing myself more time for relaxing from the rigors of the day, I think I’d be a bit happier a person.

PERHAPS COLUMBUS HAD PASSED THIS WAY IN ONE OF HIS EARLIEST SAILINGS. THE ARAWAKS HAD CERTAINLY INVEESTIGATED THESE WATERS AND FELT THESE SOFT BREEZES BLOWING SHOREWARD. THE SHORE HAD A SANDY BEACH WHERE CRABS SIDLED BACK AND FORTH AS THE WAVES DRIFTED TOWARD THEM.

  39. when he goes back, the boy has a matchbox, a gallon of gatorade, and a guitar. his hands are molded steel as he sits along the rocks of the shore, water lapping at his bare feet. it’s not unlikely that ryan sees him, really, it’s just unlikely that he’ll always see him, perched precariously to nothing, arms stretched out in moonsong, eyes dancing in the wind.
