  8. Gear is the thing that men love as it associates w/an interest such as cycling, skiing, climbing etc. I love looking at “gear” magazines. As gear gets more and more refined it gets more and more sexy.

  9. I was wearing my rain gear in the forest. It was a blustry day and the pine trees smelled especially fresh with the dew still coating their needles. In the distance I could see a deer hidden among the trees. It looked over at me with inquisitive eyes.

    Gordon Gilmore
  10. The gears that moved my life have changed drastically in the last month. It is difficult to recover when your principal gear goes away from you letting all your system with a big hole.

  11. Geares of war. War is such an obsssive topic that there are millions of video games about it…and most are first person, blood and guts shooters withot much thinking involved and that’snot exactly entertaining in many people’s eye, you know? I would rather be planning out breeding trees and such for animals and creating a better pet.

    Lakarr
  12. i think of gear as the outfit, the wardrobe…the new persona you put on to embody or embrace a task at hand. if you’re going out, you put on club gear…if you’re going into battle, armored gear….for sports you put on your football or baseball gear. gear is the equipment.

  13. is for climing mountains, without it you would eat your own self. not maybe literally, but mostly out of hate for not doing shit. It really is like that, but I wouldnt wish that truth on anyone. Besides Davie Babe. that Cracker needs to get his shit together. Needs to get his shit packed

  19. I was just thinking about my sleeping bag and how nice it is that it has stayed as puffy as it is. Supposedly one is supposed to be able to survive zero degree weather in my bag, but I use it when the weather is warmer as well. I’d rather be too warm at night than too cold.

    Lichen
  20. It only took a few minutes for me to pull on my heavily greased boots and a hat to protect myself from the suns glare. The rig was going to be a dog of an afternoon. My hip flask was full of spirits. It’s a good thing, because my ghost had left me.

  23. I put on my gear and headed out the door. Another night of supernatural crime fighting begins. I never really thought I’d do this for a living. I used to want to own a pizza place, but I guess shit just happens. Life takes over and before you know it you’ve headed down a completely unforeseen path and you’re way to far down to turn around and go back. Jesus, if my mother knew I was fighting criminal spirits for a living she would shit herself. Roman catholics don’t really believe in ghosts…all retired souls go to heaven or burn in the circles of hell.
It’s raining and the streets shine where the light reflects off the water. I know I look crazy in this uniform and I people tend to stare when I walk by them. They think I’m some crazy homeless person who doesn’t have any family that cares enough to have me commited. Little do they know I’m out here saving their asses. God, people are so ungrateful these days.

  24. sometimes your hands are not enough. the sweat of your brow, is sweat wasted. even the sharpest, best eyes in the world can not see in the darkest of nights, no moon or stars to guide you. you find and hold onto those things that reach beyond the feeble limitations of yourself, and reach into the infinite.

    Chris Chavez

    Timothy Evans
  26. Top Gear, the Brisith TV show. Something I would never watch, but I know about it because of all of my watching of QI. Whose that host? Jeremy somebody, who lives on thee Isle of Wight. Or the Isale of Man. The Isle of Wight, a place I’ve wanted to visit since I read ‘Witchery Island’. or is that the Isle of Man? How are they related? Are they related.? I can taste peppermint and I am on deadline and I dont’t know what to write for this week’s column. I hav to think about columnss in general. Why can they be so many things? Something ou pen, something created in the formation of an army, something that holds up a building, something that you use to figure out bugets. Column, cokumn column. Brings one to row right away. isn’t the minute up yet? How can it not be? It seems like I have been typing forever. Back to rowing? Boats.

  30. I slipped the car into gear and headed down the driveway. No heading back, of course. That was the end of the relationship. I still had my pink flamingo and that was what counted. I hit the gas pedal with a tear just barely coming to my face. Damn those sub-urban curves, slowing my progress out of that too quaint neighborhood. I needed out right then and there. That was it.

    John Gore
  31. Goddamn gears of war, more like gears of gay. I’m serious, taking one look at this game produces many homoerotic images in my head of bulky, muscled, well toned men mowing down hordes of Locusts with their over sized, obviously references to the phallus, guns with chainsaws and lots of blood and gore. Its the sad state of games today to have this garbage out on the streets like some poor hobo who dances on one leg just to get his welfare check and feed his 8 children and a comatose wife.

  32. gear is what we use to do things. hiking gear, wrestling gear, crew gear. any supplies or uniforms or anything. gears have to do with cars too…and bikes…and changing gears. gears like to be changed, and oiled. oil is going away, but the prices are dropping now, so its cool.

    Meredith Ramey
  33. Bike gear, the gears on my bike. The gears of my mind move along, not like a bicycle on a smooth cement road, but like a bicycle with a flat tire, over potholes and rocks. I sputter and struggle to stay upright.

    abigail chapman

  38. It comes with people who like to climb mountains or be adventourous it seems very heavy and hard to carry I think the people who carry gear must think it’s worth it thought because it protects them and makes them feel safer about what they are doing when they are in the snow or under the sea it can also be used to describe street cred or sometimes it’s referred to as

  40. I had a toy when I was a kid that was a series of cogs that you could change around, and make a working gear series. I remember that this toy was one of my favorites and I want to get one for my son, but I can only find these in some kind of weird magnet refrigerator thing.
