  1. Once when I was little my dad taught me how to get the geese from biting me when we went to feed them by grabbing them around the neck and shaking them slightly. Nothing to hurt them, just scare them enough to back up and not trample my small body.

    erin
  2. The geese flew overhead, signaling to all who saw them that the cold months were fast approaching.

    Diem Smith

  5. See, I think geese have alway been a bit like insects. They serve about as much purpose as the crushed bug under my foot. What do they do, exactly? Sometimes, I just want to run after them to see if they’ll try to pummle me or just fly away crazily.

    Shelby Rutledge
  6. Canadian geese are all over the place on campus. Sometimes I feel as if they’re more important than the students. A row of them would cross the road oh so very slowly so that a student driving to school would have to stop for 5 minutes and possibly be late for class. Yes, cute, but c’mon.

  7. I wouldn’t have sex with a goose. I wouldn’t have sex with a horse either. I do not in any way understand the lure of an animal. Bestiality confounded me. Why would you let a horse stick his dong in your hole? What kind of idiot does that, and then lets himself die because he’s to embarrassed that he had sex with a horse!

    Insano
  8. As I looked out over the pond I noticed that there were a flock of geese that stood in dismay over the loud gunshot that had rang out just a few moments earlier. I had never seen geese look as though they were deer in the headlights.

  9. Zombie geese were running wild in the streets eating all the poor humans. What the hell? This genetic experience had gone way way wrong. I mean i wanted to make a vampire goose, not a thousand brain eating zombie mutant geese. This really sucked, and the worst part? I am so getting grounded!

    Skarah
  10. i don’t know much about geese. i don’t see them much here in san diego. maybe they are around but i just don’t notice them. is geese plural for goose? the only other thing i can think of is a nursery rhyme. but which one?

  11. i walked down to the lake with him. the feel of his fingers entwined with mine was close to ecstasy. i looked into his beautiful green eyes and smiled.
“i love you,” i said. i pecked him on the cheek and took two steps toward the river bank. there were geese swimming not too far away, they were beautiful. i reached in my satchel and pulled out some bread that we were going to use to make sandwiches for our picnic and tore a slice into bits. i threw a couple pieces into the water and watched the malicious geese fight over their small meal.

  12. Like geese in a gander, the students crowded around Victor as he waved his detached hand in the air. He knew that his parents wanted him to maintain a low profile, but inconspicuous just doesn’t cut it in the high school setting.

    Chuck Meacham
  13. The geese were lovely this time during the day. They followed each other around and squawked. They really were amazing creatures, but alas i had to kill them all. It was a depressing thing really. Killing something so weirdly beautiful wrenched my heart and made me want to sob. It really was to bad.

    Sarah
  14. It lay at my feet, this mess of feathers from the geese heading away from my house. I didn’t bother trying to check if the cause of the shadow over my brow were from clouds or geese, because I had come to realize that it didn’t matter. All that made sense anymore was the fact that I was still here.

    Lily
  17. The geese have always been my favorite part of the spring time… The way they fly, just inspires me to do great things. I know it must sound dumb, but the V formations of springtime geese are as beautiful as the changing leaves in autumn.

    Call me crazy.

    Jacob
  18. Oh, how I long to go back the summer days of ponds and feeding geese, barefoot, not worrying about contamination or any thing of the sort. Giggling, family actually meaning something even though it was a facade, and running away, afraid, but knowing that there was some one there to mend your goose bitten hand.

    Tiffany F
  19. They were walking, hand in hand, neither saying a word.

They knew how wrong this was. They knew how they would have to deal withe everything eventually.

But the day, the day was sunny with a few clouds, and the air brisk and cold. A group of geese flew across the lake.

    It was perfect.

  20. I remember hearing geese flying very low in the sky over me, so close that I could hear the silky sound of their wings. But the fog was so thick that I couldn’t see them, until a brown feather landed at my feet born of the sounds above me.

    Taddy
  21. There was a cry from above me. I looked up and saw the V cutting through the sky. Heading west. This was a good omen I though. It couldn’t be too bad, surely? They were heading where all the clues say I must go.

    Hanna
  22. I heard them this morning, geese drawing the sky with their cries, announcing fall and their departure as they gathered over the valley. My heart leaped with the desire to follow them in their flying journey, but alas, my feet are bound to the ground.

    Taddy
  23. v’s in the sky sillhouhetted by moonlight and right in front of me is the place, and theres the guy in front with the turban and the big stick in his right hand and the lever is right next to him. I apporach him cautiously and ask if I might pull the lever down, as I had traveled hundreds of miles to do so. He merely put his finger to his face and watched me for a moment. Then he nodded.

  26. kremlin rodents:
    geburtstag – the only
way to go – via brine, via
    twine time. all
    negotiations are off
    the wall, off
    the effervescent jungle,
    in visitations
    of twos & fours:
    minnie comes walkin’, but
    cab’s the show,
    the hi-dee-hi-dee-hi-dee
    ho.

  27. Are flying overhead. It’s cold outside so I know they’re going south. I wish that I didn’t have to stay in such a cold place all winter long. I think humans should migrate as well. I would like to have the sun in my hair and the sand in my toes.

    Tessa
  28. They say that geese are not swans.
They say that they are not the same.
    Yet they’re still brothers.
Still siblings of the same tree.
And they both sing their songs.
    Just to a different tune.
    Is that so wrong?
To listen to a Goose Song
    Instead of a swan one?

    Kray

  31. How strange for me to look up and see a flock of geese flying away into the bright beams of the sun.

It reminded my of us. How we all tend to just flock around each other. Supporting each other. We are the wind beneath the others wings.

All of our hearts beat as one. Just as those geese all beat there wings in time with one another.

Such a random comparison, yet it fits us perfectly. Isn’t it lovely the things you can think when you are not thinking?

  37. The geese that inhabit the banks of the lake waters are disgusting. Especially the way they hiss and make a fit when you try to pet their babies, which aren’t even all that cute either. I hate when I’m running, and I step into a pile of geese shit (which they need to start learning how to bury like cats do.)

    hugarbol

    laura
  40. they were migrating. i could hear them, even when i couldn’t see their skein in the sky. i could hear those mournful calls, those ghostly cries.

and when they came into view, coasting on the bitter cold wind in a dark V, i nearly wept. i watched them soaring away, and i wanted to go with them.
