The relationships we weave
The earth under our feet
The beautiful people we meet

The comforting feeling of love
There are so many priceless goods far more worthy our admiration, attention and time.

They eyed his orange backpack. He staggered under its weight, grinning good-naturedly and pulling the shoulder straps further forward, as if that were all the was needed to fix the gross imbalance. In the depths, pots and pans and other things clanged against each other.
He told them later that he had brought all of his trophies–solid gold–to remind him what he had already achieved and would achieve again.

She was in a supermarket full of food, which she deeply desired. But she couldn’t. She wasn’t allowed to eat. She was too fat to eat. It was her punishment for being fat so she won’t have to endure the sarcastic remarks that came from her family and so-called friends.

The World Market allows you to buy goods from all over the world: choose from International delights such as Hawaiian Coffee, Spaetzle, Argentinian Wines, Sombreros, Indian Tea, Matcha, Swiss Chocolate, and French Soaps.
A maze of goods, stretching up to the ceiling. Tins upon tins, walls upon walls, stacks upon stacks! It wouldn’t be too hard to get lost in here, and there’s probably a skeleton or few sitting in dusty ends, surrounded by containers from a century ago.
I consult the Map, hoping I won’t be one of the unlucky many to be lost to the chaos. I mark my route with a red marker, check my current location, and set off towards sector E/apple.223*fish – tomato soup.
The goods were brought in a white box, but he never knew what they were. He always had the curosity to open and just have a look but he never dared to open the box. His job was just delivery and he kept it to that. His life was precious not to him but various others and even a simple wrong move

We once call the groceries that we brought from the supermarket goods. Well that was what it was, our “goods” or food for the week or until it lasted.

“You got the goods?” asked the masked man.
“Yeah, I’ve got the goods. You got the money?”
“Yep,” growled the masked man. “But I want to see it first.”
It was in bags, in suitcases, in boxes, and in crates. Bundles upon bundles of green printed bills, with scowling Jacksons and smarmy Franklins and gruff Grants. The masked man wanted to count the money gleefully, but he knew that would take too much time. He set down his own bag and sighed.

There was a 10 stories high parking lot tucked in the heart of downtown and me and my friends always visited the place to watch the sunset.
As we climbed up the stairs, the enjoyment we felt was indescribable. It was like we were little kids again, jumping up and down for joy, awaiting a surprise. In our hands were often local baked goods from a store nearby, cameras or chinese takeout. ”Quick! Hurry up! We need to see the pink sky!”, yelled the one of us, breathing desperately.
When we reached the top, we saw a magnificent skyline of our city. In the background, there were cotton candy clouds which soon turned into crimson red streaks and then a darker wallpaper (and sometimes a gloomy sunset, of course) appeared. Within those half hours, we cherished every single minute of it. We even sung and danced with no music sometimes. We ate, laughed, and shared stories. We shouted to the sky, ”this is what life is all about!”. In that moment, as we looked up to see the silhouettes of the skyscrapers and bokeh, we felt incredible.
The nights always ended with hugs, kisses and goodbyes at the subway station. We giggled when we yelled each other’s names across the station and by the time we got on the train, we were already planning our next visit to our not-so-secret hangout spot.
A few years later, the parking lot was torn down and we too, took our separate ways in life. Nowadays I would still make trips to the street where it once gloriously stood. As I stand there, all I can do is reminisce and smile.
Ahh, the good old days.

goods are what create the pursuit of material things. They are earthly objects. They grow greed, the destroyer for the misinterpretation of what matters on this planet. There are more valuable things on this planet, like emotion, pleasure or pain.

“I’ve got the goods on you,” she said as she watched him head for the door. He stopped and turned slowly. “What goods would those be?” The corner of her mouth raised up for just a second. “You know. Now what will you give me to keep quiet.”

It was funny, everyone liked to say she had “the goods” because the way she moved made everyone fall to the wayside or crumble at her feet. Only that still wasn’t enough to change her mind when the little voice back behind the bars in her thoughts decided to throw a fit. And I know you wouldn’t know it by the way she smiles that million dollar smile or how she laughs with the kind of giggle that makes even the sea jealous, but she never wakes up wtih a smile, she never feels good. At least, that’s how it was, until you came along.
To be honest, the trip was boring. They had only been allowed one suitcase of personal goods, and those were stored in a lower deck. Everybody had access to books, movies and other entertainment, but Morris had a long list of tasks to take care of every day, which he could not share with the passengers until they knew their fate, and that left him little time for his own amusement.

“The good are in the basement.” The message came late at night, slipped under the door. Her heart beat fast as she descended the staircase. It took some searching, but she found them. A hand flew to her mouth, but her husband’s baseball bat hit her head before she could scream.
