Green eyes. I’ve seen the most beautiful pair of green eyes. They belong to a boy with dark skin and rough hands that fit perfectly with mine. They belong to a boy with a heart that is too big and strong for its own good. They belong to soft dark hair and a loving smile. I belong to those eyes. I belong to the boy with no fear of the future. I belong to the boy who holds me as if there is never a time he will let me go.

I like to eat greens. Some types of greens are: collard, mustard, kale, spinach and bok choy. When I was a child, I hated greens, but now that I have my own kids, I’d like them to eat some greens everyday so they can grow healthy and strong.

Greens. Love ’em or hate ’em we all need ’em. I’ve always struggled to eat my greens. Apparently as a child I could get them down OK, blended up with pumpkin and other veges. Now as an adult, what am I to do? Salad? You don’t win friends with salad. But I’ve found the answer. A smoothie, that’s what. I obliterate those greens, mask them with pineapple and other tropical fruits and BAM! Edible. Nutritious. But still green, unfortunately…

“Eat your veggies”
But Mama, I don’t want to
“They’re good for you”
Please Mama, don’t make me
“Just one bite?”
No, Mama, no
“It’s okay honey”
Maybe it is, I don’t know
I step into the old crusty building and see across the room a table. My steps follow the quickest predetermined path to this table on which sits my favorite greens: kale, lettuce, arugula, you name it!

I like to eat my greens, sometimes. They are not always good, sometimes spinach feels squeaky in my mouth. Other times I love a cold salad, with artichoke hearts and Ranch dressing.

greens are very good for you they give you chlorophyl for your body my favorite green vegetable is kales my favorite green fruit is pears
collard greens. I should probably eat more vegetables. Green is a soothing color. I think people are drawn to the color green because it’s so prevalent in nature. It’s probably my second favorite color.

I appreciate beauty and art, but I have no artistic talent. I envy artists. They can take a few different greens, blues, and reds and create something stunning.

“Eat your greens” they say to kids. Greens of course meaning all of the green vegetables that are healthy for them. Nobody ever thought to use other colors. Eat your reds, or eat your yellows, or worst still eat your oranges, because then the only thing the child would eat would be oranges. Also, nobody ever specifies what color to drink either. “Drink your clears” could just as easily mean you should hydrate with tequila.

The kid threw a huge tantrum while her parents were visibly embarrassed. Everyone in the restaurant was focusing on whats happening, its all because of the greens!
But greens is a bit odd because it doesnt talk about greenary or go green or anything else.
It is just Greens which is a bit odd.
It is also tough to talk about greens which makes this word interesting

Its on the greens of the golf course she first found the single most important thing in her life… her peacock, Molly. The preening bird became her inspiration, her tail, her shadow, her mirror. All she knew now was because of Molly.

The world doesn’t spin around green auras: greens and cold colours are found in archaic mysteries and rare chemicals as they burn in the high planes of the atmosphere. What we see is a rainbow world, reflected from the light of these burned elements as we look away.
The plate was abundant with greens: a home-made grilled cheese sandwich layered with alfalfa sprouts, sharp spinach leaves, and fresh vine tomatoes. Fresh out of her very own garden, for the very first time. The local county’s been a pain with the ass, what with regulations on aestheticism of the standard American front lawn that was far from the disambiguation they proclaim, effectively rendering her garden by the front porch unlawful. It was as they called it – and after uprooting and re-homing her garden to the corner, and months more after needless waiting, sprouts returned. What else could she have done, really?

No, she was not going to eat this. It looked green, fair enough, but it reminded her of a human heart. No way would she be able to put something like that into her mouth. She’d rather starve. The others looked on and wondered what was wrong.

Ironic, I love everything green, except for collard greens. Everyone assumes because I am vegetarian I eat greens every day.

My mother said to always eat my greens, but I didn’t think it’d turn me into a lean, mean, killing machine. Yet here I am, built for adequate slaughter, using machetes to protect my teenage daughter. I’m the Punisher’s protégé, yet I’m not quite certain I was ever prepared to take on this burden. I have to wonder if I’d add to the dead if I had loaded up on red meats and starches instead.

She tossed the greens together with a little bit of dressing and tried to be excited about it. “Woot. Salad.” It didn’t exactly work.
