  21. Grids, like math. I have a lot of trouble with math, the numbers, sequences, patterns…just too much. I’d much rather be naive about the entire subject, and just carry on my way, not caring why X = Y and what have you. A grid just complicates things, I’d rather draw stars. or hearts!! or puppies!!

  29. The grid of power lines looked very far below me, I gulped and held tighter to the mysterious hand that was my lifeline. My vision suddenly clouded over with blood from the gash on my head, and I gasped, the world far below me seemed to be turning in a very unsettling way. I was getting lightheaded and I knew I couldn’t hold on much longer, and yet the prospect of death after what I had been through lately almost seemed comforting. Man what a messed up life I must have to think that. I could feel my hand slowly slip throug the fingers of the only thing holding me up and then heard a grunt as strong arms brought me back over the edge of the cliff. I vaguely realized that i was safe and still clutching the stranger’s hand as I spiraled into oblivion. The last thing I heard was a voice filled with shocked recognition. “Ava!” Maybe I was mistaken, maybe I had made it after all. That was a nice prospect, dying in the arms of the one i loved. Or was it him? I couldn’t know anymore, all I knew was darkness…
