  1. the gym.The Gym. I have an intense fear of dying a horrible death in a gym, by crushing.

  2. I didn ‘ t go to the gym – I hate the gym- all the pretty people should be in a different room that the rest of us, although I don’t know what I mean by “us”. I would rather be outside exercising, but then I don’t really like exercise at all. I need it to be unconscious, like skiing or riding. I would rather lie around and eat popcorn and become naturally thin that way. I don’t think it works like that, but I would like to try. Maybe I would finally be the first at something. The first to become fit and slim by lying around and eating popcorn. Anyway, the gym is annoying, never cold enough and full of sweaty people. Although some people, older people usually, come to the gym in regular clothes, slacks and shirts, and walk on the treadmill without actually breaking into a sweat. This fascinates me. I wonder if it’s working? I could do that. No changing of clothes, no wiping of my beet red wet face. Just a little walk and then stop off at the library. Then lie around and eat popcorn.

  5. Gyms are so sterile. I dont exercise because I am bloody lazy to do so but the fact is that even if I were a fat bufallo I would not go to a gym. The stale smell of sweat makes me want to puke. And theres something so unnatural about those weights.

  8. gym socks, gym clothes, and her thirty percent. the book i wrote about a gym and some people in it was a lot of fun for me — i am such a couch potato (whatever the hell that means) that it was fun to go back in time in my mind to when i went to a gym and did gym-ish things. never sports, team sports, for me, and nothing real sweaty. but muscle building? yeah. i like that. i like looking, too.

  9. a place where you go to get sweaty and lose weight.
Tends to be smelly with tredmills and lots of fat people and/or bulky people depending on where you live.

  10. One day I met my first love in the gym. He was white as marble and had a fist of granite. It was the first and the last time that I saw him. And never did I go into a gym again.

  12. I have a gym membership. I haven’t been in a year, at least. Funny how I don’t miss something I used to enjoy so well. Maybe it’s the feeling of being watched by predatory men while I do my laps?

  14. Nobody likes the gym. I don’t like the gym. You probably don’t like the gym. Why would you? Why work your balls off just to conform to the image promoted by the fascists leading this world. Just kidding.

  15. gym, hated it in high school, cqn’t get enough of it now. How is this possible? Maybe because we never did anything fun back then. I can do hula hoops now, or skate, even pole dance. Big fun!

  16. I once went ot the gym. It was alright, pretty dull, no TV, no iPod, what I didn’t get was why you would go there. There was no enjoyment, if you run on the road at least you’re out and about, it all seemed very shallow, as if everyone’s there just to look good.

  19. Every class has one of those kids. The nerd, the geek, the one nobody ever really likes. The one who’s too shy to connect with people. The one who always gets picked last at gymclass.
I’m her. I do have friends, but I don’t think they’d care if I would move to the other side of the earth tomorrow. They’d probably wave me goodbye right away. They’re more the kind of friends you just sit with at lunch, because nobody of us has another table. We’re the outsiders, the outcast, the losers.

  22. I am so supposed to write something about a gym.> I have no idea what to write. I hated gym. It was quite possibly the worst class ever. What I hated the most was when we played football, and we had to be either shirts or skins, and I hated having to take off my shirt if I was a skin. I was a bit of an unhappy chubby kid in junior high school so if I took off my shirt, I was always so worried about what all of the kids were thinking about the chubby kid. I mean there were kids that were chubbier then me, but I still always thought I was the fattest.

  23. Oh, the gym suits we had to wear in school. They were made of polyester and stunk to high heaven when we put them in our lockers at the end of class. And they zipped up the back so no one could zip thrir own. Why did they design them that way? We all wore ours backwards but then the part that was supposed to be on your bottom sagged in the front. I think kid should have a gym outfit that is different from what they wear to class but it shouldn’t be an actual gym suit Maybe a pair of shorts and a school tee shirt . But when they wear heir school clothes to gym they get them all dirty and sometimes I almost faint when I stand next to them.

  24. what a gym? i don’t really understand but here it goes.

you go to the gym to get fit. but the irony is that only fit people who look good and don’t need to be there are actually there….. all the people that need to go there are worried about what the fit people would think about the fat girl going to a spinning class and looking stupid. what is it with the world when the people who need it can’t even go to a gym?

  28. I slung my bag over my shoulder and headed to the gym. After a grueling workout, I was ready to go back home, drenched in sweat, when I realized my car keys were missing. They had fallen into a storm drain nearby, and I had to spend the next thirty minutes removing the iron cover and retrieving the keys.

  29. Three letters that symbolize the ultimate obsession with body perfection; in a way, we all look forward to it because it has a Y. Y’s are cool, like alternatives.

  30. Boys were lined up on one side of the gym, girls on the other. Palms sweaty, heart racing, he made his way across the great divide to a giggling girl. The band was terrible, but they were loud. That makes up for it somehow.

  31. i went to the gym once with my girlfriend. we went to a free yoga lesson and it was actually pretty fun. i was a little embarrassed because the gym has lots of glass windows and so anyone i knew could’ve seen me. also, it was all middle aged women in there. we were the only two teenagers. but it turned out to be really relaxing and quite a lot of fun.

  34. I LOVE THE GYM! It’s possibly one of my most favorite hang outs ever, even if it’s not really hanging out. But gym is never a bad thing. When someone asks how your day was, and you say, “Oh, I went to the gym… yadadadada.” No one is going to be like, “EW. THE GYM? WTF. WHY?” Got it? Good.

  35. I used to go to the gym, but it sucked how all the machines filled up around New Years…so I quit when all of those “resolution” people joined. Ironic, huh? I would rather do REAL exercise anyway, like biking OUTSIDE, rowing on the river OUTSIDE, skating on the ice rink….

  37. Everyone says its a pointless class. But thats usually the kids with no muscle or athletic build whatsoever. So next time someone says Gym sucks I’ll say “Yeah because you’re fat.”

  38. I hate going to the gym. I mean I love to go there but I hate my life the entire time. I think gyms are full of self centered people, generally gay guys lol. I like extremely clean, fresh smelling gyms with loud, fast, modern music.

  39. Sometimes i go to the gym with my dad, but i don’t like it very much because he is controlling and mean. Even though he treats me nicely there, i know that when we get home, he will still be the same mean dad. I wish i could be happy when i go there, but i get very gloomy instead. Everyone else at the gym looks so happy.
