  1. i hate going to the gym, while at the same time i love it. i hate being sweaty and gross and in loads of pain, but i love the relief i get after i’m all finished. My whole rest of the day is full of energy.

    Sarah Wilkinson
  2. i go to the gym on occasion, it’s good for keeping you fit but it’s all very artificial, and nothing like participating in a sport such as tennis or soccer, where you get the satisfaction of a daily workout along with a social outlet.

    Dave
  3. There are times when I wished I could afford to go to the gym. I am fat and going there would probably help me immensely, and yet no I can’t afford the gym, so I think about using the world around myself as the gym. It doesn’t happen, but maybe tomorrow the world will be my gym.

  5. in gym class we went swimming, which is good for me because when i swim im like a cheetah in the water. i move so fast that i wipe out all the competition in 5 seconds. i imagine myself as a little tiny mino trying to swim upstream, as i push against the current i get stronger and build muscle. then before i know it im a bass, eating insects in my way and trying to make it to the river. i blink and then im a shark! eating anything that makes me mad and swimming as fast as any other speedy fish. i make it to the river, open my eys and see all my fellow class mate far behing me…i won!

  8. gym was always hard because we had to play dodgeball everyday and im not very agile and i cant throw a ball very hard so people would target the weak ones, just like in nature. wolf packs preying on injured animals and using their eyes as rollerskates to enhance their natural abilities. girls always used their peroids to get out of gym class like a bunch of a bitches

    jeffrey dahmer
  9. I’m thinking about gymnastics, which usually weren’t held in our school gym. And why my bathtub is not an aquarium if it holds, well, aqua. I am its fish, after all.

    Myona
  10. Its always the place that I go, in anger and frustration. I can’t help but bike through the mountains and over the bridges with my eyes shut tight. Ignoring the expanding world around me I close my ears with the beats created by my favorite artists and I ride. Far away. Hoping to say wherever I end up.

  11. the gym is in interesting place to go. Often full of masculine, overly compensating jocks the gym can be a fun place to make one feel good about his/her self. I like the gym because of that.

    Joshua
  12. it is a class that I used to attend. I used to walk while everyone else ran. I never really cared about what other people thought about it. I didn’t even care if I failed the class. I didn’t like to run so I didn’t.

    cassandra Neal
  13. a place i try and avoid at all cost as i do not like working out in front of people. also reminds me of being in grade school and how much i hated gym class every day.

    Jess Baker
  14. the gym is so elusive. It epitomizes the capability to do something but for elusive reasons, you don’t do it. Why can’t you just go?
Well, you need the shoes and the clothes and the water and the towel…..
    So overwhelming, right?

    Nicole C.

  16. Sweat, blood, and tears my friends. But a gym is so much more than that. It’s a place where lives can change. It can create or destroy self esteem. I like getting lost and yet so focused in the gym.

    Katie Hutch
  17. Man the one thing i hate about the gym is monthly membership cost that always seems to hit right when i have no money left… i get an overdraft get depressed and kill a bowl of ice cream. thanks gym!!!

    justin
  18. The gym is a place where I am constanly goaded to change myself. Why go somewhere wher everyone wants you to be different?

    jamie
  19. The gym was packed with people. Everybody stood in unison in their bright gold shirts as the team rushed aroudn the court. As the basketball players put on a display for the crowd, the gym roof kept shaking like it wanted to fall off onto the unsuspecting crowd.

  20. He walks in, she walks in, they pass not knowing. No clue that two years from now he’ll be crying because she won’t take her back, that two weeks from that they’ll cry together because she’ll admit she loves him. But for now they’re just strangers.

    Kai
  21. The front of the gym is the first thing Miranda notices as she climbs out of the bus. The windows are glowing and the walls have been fractured. Charred pairs of shoes surround the blinking angel whose landing destroyed half the block.

    Ciara
  22. Gym can be boring. The gym at our school smells like socks. It’s nasty. And the halls around it smell like dirty socks too. I hate passing throuhgt those hallways.

    Smurfette
  23. i need to go in fact I am supposed to go tonight but I don’t want to
I think it’s really funny that this word popped up. I almost can’t believe it. Maybe God is trying to tell me something. Scary. I still have baby weight to lose…but I would much rather just sit around. WHY is it soooo hard. Silly me. Such a lazy girl these days.

    Laura

  27. i hate this class, i feel so awkward, out of breath. why do they always make me run? insecure as i’m already walking halfway around the first lap. i used to love going to they gym…before school, i was in gymnastics. the tumbling, bars, trampoline. now it’s just humiliation.

    Deborah
  28. i always hated gym class though i was especially good at playing dodgeball.
probably because of my gym teacher, she was crazy and mean.
which are two of my least favourite things in the world
crazy and mean people boggle me. how far do they really get in life with that attitude.
not that far, karma will come.

    Sara Alexander

    Lizette Grigio
  31. I always hated gym. Running was never my think. It wasn’t so much that I hated the physical activity but more that I hated the uniforms and sweating and partner activities. And maybe the fact that I hated the physical activity. When you have friends with you though, it’s a lot more fun so I’d suggest that when you ever have to involve yourself in anything dealing with a gym.

    Brooke
  32. Steamy and hot this place is a ton of fun. It has all the makings of a great day spent doing fun things. Basketball, volleyball and badminton are just a few things you might partake in. Of course the extra fun dodgeball is also a painful but hilarious way to spend a half hour in the gym. How about climbing the rope! Or running around the track? Naw, that’s whack. Bring on the medicine ball!

    steve
