a habitat is a natural surrounding of a person or animal. a place where their natural instincts take place. :)
lauren
habitats are a normal thing to love. It’s funny how humans are able to choose their habitat as opposed to all other animals. We’re not so different from them anyway.
juan
My perfect place is somewhere, where i’m always moving. Somewhere, where I can love, and hope and dream. Somewhere away from here.
Amber Raine
Why do we even have to know about this word. It’s not like we go around ever day using it. But if that’s what the teacher wants then that’s what she’ll get. Habitat, a word I don’t use or ever plan on using.
jasmine
I love my habitat. I keep it clean and open like a Zen monastery. I love opening my pantry. My boxes and cans are lined up like a museum exhibit. My true natural habitat would probably be a beautiful glass house on a hill.
Brigitt
If you go by the keys in your pocket, this place was technically mine, and yet here you are, a great swelling damp, wedged in cracks and tucked in nooks, leaping from drawers and frames, our lives in a bread trail. You are in the walls, and for years I have made my home at your side, and now, this place seems far, far too big.
Luke Gain
I always wanted to build a habitat for the bugs in my back yard. There seemed to be a million different kinds and it semed impossible for all of them to have their own shelter. It was a few years later that bugs didnt live like that.
Evo
Where I live, there’s food and heat and there’s a really cool couch. I wonder if this is the place of the 40 something single woman. Ask an anthropologist I guess.
Laura
My backyard birds have chose this habitat because of the bugs and bloosums and berries that suit them. In the city just one mile away the same birds do not exxist. in fact there are not many birds as so many people have ornamental gardens. I miss the birds but love the city. Go figure.
wendy shaffer
home, life, the place we need to live. and the only place that we can’t afford to lose.
fresh, created, alive, our own, the future, the past, everything and nothing.

If you had the decision to choose the habitat that you were launched into, would you have chosen the one that you are in? I bet 90% of you would say no “I hate the shitty exsistance that i was brought into”. If this is the case then we ain’t gonna get 100% of the earths popultion into 10% of the habitable land in the world. The answer? Make the world a pleasent place to live all over. Its our world. We are responsible for ourselves and everyone around us. If we all learn that we can evolve and grow across the universe and space earth is just a spec of what we can ecomplish. But if we can’t even work together to make our one world a hospitable planet, then what is the point? If we do cross planets, univers’s, reality’s.WE WILL DO MORE HARM THAN GOOD.
GUNIT
this is where animals and plants live. This is their home. In a habitat plants and animals have all of their needs met, shelter and food. Food webs and food chains are in different habitats.

I live in my own habitat. My room is my world, neverending and forever deep. My parents thrive downstairs where the crisp white cabinets hold their thick bottles of vice. My habitat is a place of my very own and the only place i can live, for i cannot go downstairs to my parents’ distorted habitat.

I feel assigned to this place, as if the great selector looked down upon me and calculated that I was best suited here. I can’t say that I understand the selector’s decision; sometimes I seem to stick out like a sore thumb, while sometimes I’m nearly invisible against this background.

My Habitat, Shops, Uncomprimising paople, Violence, Regret, Lovelesnesss, What a place to live! I wish i was a badger. They know what lifes all about. I love you all and noone is above or below me. :-) Peace.

I live in my habitat with a constant regret, animosity towards others. Merely because I’m jealous of them. Because they’re happy… But I’m still here. Miserable…
I want to be them. I want to be someone different.
But this is my habitat. I need to learn to accept this…
And move on.

There is a habit among the animals located within the habitat to stare longing through their glass enclosure at the odd animals being refracted back at them, recognizing perhaps in those stolen glimpses odd pieces of themselves.

I think it is awful that human beings care so little for the habitats of animals. We as a species have been blessed with cognitive abilities unlike any other animal on the planet. We should be responsible and make sure to conserve the land instead of using it so that no other animal may share it with us.

a place to live.

I used to love that store, L’Habitat. It covered two stories at Nice Étoile, offering simple lines, crisp colors, inviting interiors–the opposite of home. I bought a couple of things there, a red cardboard box, maybe a teapot and a door mat.
Taddy
a place where animals live. a home. a comftorable environment to live, eat, and relax. this is becoming endangered for animals as time progresses because of expansion of human’s habitats. land that was once open and full of forest are now suburban homes.
christine
There are animals within the cage. I feed the elephants peanuts as they stare back at me. The elephants seemed to enjoy the golden savanna grass, but I would die. It ceases to amaze me that our own habitat is made out of concrete. And we think their habitat is crazy.
Aly R.
habitat of my mind sits on my fingertips. typing words to justify my open issues on denial. mind arises and heart falls. deeply deeply, deep down to the bottom of the black sea. and when fingertips stop punching these little keys to make up excuses, i will graciously return to lonely white confined box, my only understanding motherly habitat that has no questions or answers to the promised heart.
birds fly beyond the horizon towards to burning crimson sun till their wings turn into ashes.
Sun opens his mouth and swallows the heart of the birds so they could live forever in the sky.
forever in their habitat

Animals live in habitats and so do we. Yea, lions, tigers and bears, oh my! Habitats are very diverse, each creature requires different specifics. Be environmentally friendly to save animal habitats! Seriously!
Lola.
Like the shop! Badgers live in sets; that’s a habitat! Or remember that episode of Father Ted? The one with “habit hat”, where the clergy buy their furnishings? Tatibah backwards :)

are we destroying our habitat? humans can live practically anywhere, and yet we’re destroying the places we live. the earth is falling apart, and even are best efforts can’t seem to put it back together. i fear for the future. what will become of planet earth?

This house is my habitat, though I’m habitually there. Not an everyday habit, mind you, but a severe one. More like cleaning the gutters, and less like smoking a cigarette
