  1. We climbed higher and higher, and breathing was beginning to be difficult. The air around us was crisp and clear, classic mountain air. I looked at Nate, my hair getting into my eyes. This was almost paradise.

The edge or the top was just visible miles above her. The light from the sun was slowly fading away and she feared that she would be stuck on the mountain all night.
