hard to remember unless you read and really look into the events. It shapes everything that is happening in the present but many people don’t realize it. People are constantly searching for answers and solutions that may have alread been thought of but no one documented it. History is important because you can never fully understand someone or something without knowing its history.

I really don’t like history. I couldn’t ever really follow it. I can’t associate dates with events. I honestly couldn’t even tell you when WWII started OR ended. The numbers just don’t stick. I like biology. The time frame doesn’t matter. My sister, on the other hand, is the exact opposite.
history is what defines us. it’s a point for us to move forward from and not repeat the past. it’s each individuals story. It’s what he’s made out of, shaping who he is today and who he will become in the future. Without history we are nothing. History is a lesson to be learned. It’s his story.
looking back over the family records, it became clear to him that there was only a beginning and end. everything in between was lost. he knew his origin, but he didn’t know the process. he wondered if it really mattered. of course it did, another voice in the back of his mind echoed. how can a plant grow without roots? maybe that’s why.

history is what we’re all made of. it’s each individuals creation, his own story. it’s what we’re made of and what we are going to be made of. our history. our story. it’s what makes us who we are and who we will be. without history we would be lost. we learn from the past to improve our future. and without that we are nothing. it is what defines us and makes us who we are today.

History.
Synonymous with pointless.
If the point is to aim forward.
Back in time we go as today’s class reiterates the past doctrines of ideologists.
The problem with history.
Is we lack to make our own.
Sure we say we do.
But can we call this history?
Or merely distractions from the present?
Whatever.
It’ll all be history.

In our history there is sadness. Joy and tears and laughter and bitterness. Anger, harsh words and actions. Loneliness. Fear. Betrayal. All the good stuff you find in movies but in real life, it just isn’t that enjoyable. I could do without some of these experiences. Let me in.

time is ageless. we are part of history and we make history. Are we history, or do we create it? Why can we read about it and never see ourselves in it? We are as much a part of history as we are alive. It is a concept that should become reality in our existence, in the present.
Andy
I think history is the memories we leave behind that we feel are important enough to be remembered. They are the lessons we learn that we teach to those whom we don’t want to endure the pain that may have. History may be learned from text books, or the mouth of a loved one. Either way, it is a lesson.
Chris
History is among many popular and hevily debated topics. Any one person can truly create a “history” of anything. Whether it’s real or not; History, in itself, is simply the act of someone’s story being kept alive. Whether this truth is in a book or simply a story passed down from one’s father to a son and so on.
It is widely known that all history is simply the perception of one kept down as a fact and widely accepted. I believe in history to a degree, but to truly undestand history, you have to be where the topic of the history happened. I think it’s almost an impossibility to truly belive all that is history as not seen from a strictly scientific stand point.

History. What came before. We never learn. It is our destiny, as people to repeat. It is our destiny to hurt and kill and destroy each other. It’s all very sad.
I’ve always been told that history is repetitive. It always repeats itself. Maybe that’s true. If it did not, we wouldn’t continue to have wars and discoveries. In a way, history is also the future.
History. . . .something I never was good at during school. lol. So many things to branch of from with that. Without history to look back on, I wonder how we would even view where we are in life; whether it be family history or the history or our world.
Things that have happened in the past, things that have changed what we think about now. Things we need to know about, that we should learn about. Things that can be created today, because tomorrow, that will be in the past.
Sarkenoth
Past relationships, good and bad. Friendships, good and bad. A few are still around but many more are history. New ones always come around the corner, but unless you learn lessons from the previous ones you’ll repeat the same mistakes.
What is it about history that makes me intrigued? That makes me want to learn all about it? Why do they say that the past stays in the past, and yet history is all about the past? I think I’d rather learn what happened before than look only towards the future or stay in the present.
I believe it’s true that if you don’t learn from history you’ll be doomed to repeat it, but I don’t think history can teach us everything – or even much more than anything – about the future. The future is always full of unexpected turns that could not and will not be anticipated; though when the future becomes history, those who study and catalogue its events will surely rationalize, with the clarity of hindsight, why we should have expected this or that. Learn from the mistakes of the past, but be on the lookout for new mistakes in the future, and always try to roll with the punches. That’s all any of us can do.
You can have a history with someone. And that history can be the basis for your friendship, the sole reasoning behind every moment you spend and every word you exchange together. Without a history there’s nothing, right? Without knowing the history of our world we have no way of knowing how to act in the future, what to expect… there’s no basis for anything without history. The same goes with people. There’s no basis for a relationship without a history together first.
History is fun, because it is so very varied. You’ve got a thousand trillion histories in just a single day. History is endless, and thus it is impossible not to like. How can you dislike something which offers endless oppurtunities? I cannot at least. So, what’s your name?

Everything, Everyone, and everywhere has it’s history. History it what makes us who we are. The past shapes the future and the present remembers the past. History.
History is an amazing thing. It has been around us for centuries, because history is, after all, something we can’t control. It will always be there, and someone will always remember it. There is no hisotry that wil be forever forgotten. Unless that person dies. Which would be sad. I guess. Anyhow, who knows wheather or not your own history will be remembered someday.

my history is a boring one. german ancestry, perhaps my grandparents or great-grandparents came here illegally. i know they got in trouble for not having papers. before them there were a large people here and we took their history for our own. there aren’t many of them left, they are a people fading to history.

Families are odd. On the one hand, they are super “present.” The day to day trials, tribulations, needs, celebrations, annoyances, dirty dishes, soccer games, school plays. On the other hand, they are your history. Where you come from. Maybe, where you are going. They are today, but that’s fleeting, but they are tomorrow because they are yesterday.
