  2. Hooked on love, so I say. But I’m so young, I’ve not had much. One taste and I want more. All these movies, books, songs; makes me crave for something I don’t know about. Hooked on the IDEA of love, more like it. Hooked on something I know nothing about, hooked because it makes me feel good, and I don’t want to stop.

  3. Hooked on band-aids. A strange phrase, elicits drug addition, or any sort of addiction. Or a fish-hook in the skin; irretrievable and painful. Perhaps not the best slogan for me to grow up with, for building trust…

  4. It started with a jolt — it was the feeling that he’d known all to well before. From the first time he caught a fly ball to the first kiss from a girl, he knew instantly that he was hooked. God bless Twinkies.

  5. The pirate stood there with a menacing grin, black and rotting teeth standing out in the gaps in his mouth and he motioned towards you, his right hand replaced by a menacing steel hook. You wonder briefly about it, since it looks well made, but are soon more concerned about the cutlass that is shoved against your throat.

  6. Hooked was a strange word, more relevant to drug abuse than love. But hooked was how I felt. Hooked, gutted and sauteed.

  14. I saw it. I knew not to go for it. “That is not a real worm,” I told myself. I knew it. So I ignored it. I ignored it as I swam closer and closer. I ignored it as it flopped, mere inches away from my gaping mouth. I ignored it as the hook went through my jaw. I ignored it from inside of the tuna can, too.

  17. As soon as I saw you I was hooked, and as soon as we began to talk the hook sunk in deeper and I knew there was no chance of getting out anytime soon. But this wasn’t a hook that hurt, no, it was a hook that could only bring joy. You only bring joy.

  18. i don’t know how i got hooked on it, but it happened. three months later i didn’t know who i was anymore. it was like some sort of surreal dream, living a life i couldn’t claim as my own; after all, how could i be this person? no, this wasn’t right. it obviously wasn’t me. couldn’t be.

  19. on phonics?
I was sitting in the chorus room today and Tiffany said this to me.
I was told I began to read at the age of 1 and a half. but then forgot in kindergarten and then learned again in 1st grade.
I wonder what it’s like to forget something in old age. having to reteach yourself something. when it’s no longer elementary…

  20. A brilliant performance, some would later say.
The men behind the curtain obviously did not agree, 30 seconds into the vaudeville act the hook emerged from behind the stage, whisking the poor comedienne away.

  21. Hooked. I’m hooked on the idea of getting a puppy, Mum. I really want one, and I don’t know why you started slamming drawers shut in the kitchen when Pa and I were talking about it. He said, I could work for him until I got a real job. A job is a job. And it’s not like you’re gonna see the puppy. Sometimes I wish I was as rebellious as other kids that still live at home. But then again, I’d rather wait on a puppy and not be a crackwhore on her second child. XD

  22. hooked on phonics never really helped anyone with anything except memorizing the phrase “only 19.95!”

  23. The cookie and whatnot were exploding violently due to a rare case of Panda based diseases that eat away at the belly lint of robotic camels and turn it into factory made cheese you can put into a can and spray onto your Ritz crackers, this being if you are a lazy bastard.

    The Disease.
  24. Like an angler in all ways, those thigh high boots may as well have been fishing waders. The way she would bait men with her eyes, dragging them towards certain death in the grasping hooks of her polished-taloned hands.

  25. I am hooked on cutting. There is nothing more appealing to me then getting out a blade, dragging it across my skin, and watching the blood flow. I don’t know why. I never knew why.

I bled so much last night; the most ever. I cut thirty scars into my skin. There was blood absolutely everywhere, and it has never fallen onto the floor before, but there were red footprints and red drops and red puddles all over that damn tile. I’m scared of myself. But I will not stop. Not now, not ever.

  31. She got hooked like a caterpillar in winter time. It was so sad to see but sometimes someone gets the short end of the deal. Even if it were to have turned out different the sharp knifing edges would have dragged her in. Like a tree at Christmas she saw the bright lights and couldn’t look away. It was such a sad sight to see.

  32. I’m in the middle of the Ocean.
I can feel nothing and my mind is slowly shutting down.
I am a fish in the sea and somethings coming over me.

  33. When I think about the word hooked, I think about drugs. For example, today an ex and I were hanging out, and she bought a pack of cigarettes. I guess I’m thinking about this particular instance because before she bought the pack she told me she thought she was getting addicted to cigarettes. She didn’t even care that it was $6 and she’s absolutely broke. Ugh.
