What am I to you?
Am I simply a performer, dancing through impossible hoops? Even with wings, I cannot reach them. Yet you expect me to, and I would do anything for you.
Do my feelings mean anything, anything at all?
It was all about me on the surface. Everything. Conversations all focused around me and how I was feeling, how I was emotionally. How many aches and pains I woke up with that day. How many times I cried; how many flashbacks I got. Everything. But in reality; it was all you. I jumped, I ran, I changed. It might have been about me on the surface, but underneath I was running around in circles and jumping through hoops for you – because if I didn’t; you’d be just a name on my phone.
Ugh, reminds me of basketball… which I hate. I’m too short to actually make any baskets and so I’ve never been good. There’s only one spot on the court I know I have a decent shot of making it from, but even then, I only actually make it from that spot half the time,

Emily being only five years old, received her first hula hoop this summer. Bright pink with sparkle stripes in glowed as she brought it out into the sun. Placed around her hips she let go- shaking with all her might only for it to fall limply to the ground.

Each question a hoop to stumble through
each stare a form to fill in
let us use rings to sign our souls away
our necklaces to tie us to the post
hoop, as i child, was something i was never able to do. i could never swing it around my waist while all my other friends could. it bought bad memories of how all my friends played with them while i sat out. however, this is probably my best memory i have for it made me the man i am today.

there never was a hoop he couldn’t reach
up to the sky
dangling his size 16 feet in the air
where everyone could
aaaaah ooooooh!
up he went
until the time
he didn’t quite come down
hoops like a circle, hooped earrings are circular and look kind of ugly on some people but meh, and also hula hoops, which are fun to play with, thats what she said, but they swish around your waist and make you tired as hell and no one can really be stuffed playing it.

I almost won a hula hooping competition

at my school
I would have been
the coolest kid in town
I had a hoop through my nose and something like dreadlocks growing out of my head. Five years before that there was no hoop and no dreadlocks, but plain brown hair, no makeup, just a girl. Five years after the hoop and the dreadlocks, I have regressed again to no hoop and no dreadlocks, but an inked up arm, big glasses, and long hair. This is stage three.
i already had this word.
ok. so..
Hooop. When was the last time I used a hoop?
I probably have had recently.. it’s just that when I use it I wouldn’t think.. “HOOP”
Only when using hoolahoops
She stared at the hoop she grasped in her hand, light glinting off the glitter that adorned it. Taking a deep breath she threw the hoop high into the air. She watched as the hoop spun, sparkling in the sunlight. It was brand new, no dirt or scratches present but as she caught it in her hand again she knew that wouldn’t last.
hoop. what a boring word.
when was the last time I used a hoop?
I’m not sure… but I must have recently..
Anything.. a hoop. I must’ve forgot!

hoopla. I know a lot of people who hoop to lose weight. It must work. I’ve never been able to hoola hoop. Not once. I can’t seem to get the hoop to stay where I want it to. I wish I could. Maybe I’d have been a different person if I could only have been able to hoolahoop. I’m uninspired. I wish I could do this game for longer.
Damn damn damn. I’m just not young anymore. I picked up a hula hoop in the WalMart yesterday and said to Kathy, “I was really good at this when I was a kid. Watch.” As I spun it around me, it just fell to the floor and I was left looking like a hula dancer at the local retirement home. {{Sigh}}
Hoops. They called him Hoops. His last name was Hooper. Everyone loved him because he was such a nice guy, and so did I. Our relationship flourished until he got bored and banged the town bike. Such a nice guy, really.
A young girl, in the playground, with tears of laughter streaming down her face, as she hula-hooped the rainbow coloured collection. Her grandmother sitting silently in front of her holding their ice-creams. The ice-creams melting on a sunny day, the grandmother giving them an occasional sneaky lick to catch the drips while she waited for her granddaughter to finish her fun.

I keep hooping balls at every ring I come by. That passion that interest for hooping balls. I hoop, I like it enjoy hooping. I had do anything to land a hooping career. Lebron jems hoops, Jordan was the greatest. To hoop is to live!

Hoop is like loop, which you can get caught in. It’s also like hula, which is good exercise. It’s also quite a pleasing word, I think.
Hoops are cool fool, what new irony is this?
That we all become fish!
Cannibalization
Of civilization
It’s fermentation
A wrong equation

And we cut ourselves in half
Personifying our weakness

one of my favourite toys as a child was the hula hoop. it was wonderful trying to get it to stay up. All the girls practiced for hours..

Once I did. Once I did care. Once I wanted the world. Once. Now, I just don’t care, since you left me bare. Things are just like people around making jump the daily hoops, for myself, i have nothing I want, nothing to prove.
I swiveled the hoop around my narrow hips. Around and around and around it went. “Whooo! Crystal, you’re great at that!” Ebony exclaimed. She was my greatest friend. “Thanks, ” I replied, throwing the hoop at her. She caught it between her hands, dirt-stained from our play.

baby to you all i am is the invisible man~
As the heat fills the court, I stare at his face occasionally dripping with sweat. He dribbles with my uncle and as the orange sphere makes history in my mind, I can’t help but wonder how the angel I call Daddy came to be.
“I feel like I’m jumping through hoops. Constantly. I don’t know if you’re doing it on purpose, or if I’m just that horrible of a child. But my legs are tired. I’m tired. I’m out of breath, and I want to stop. So I’m stopping. I hope you’re happy. You’ve sucked the life out of me, and this is the last you’ll ever see or hear from me. Bye, bitch.” She watched the video once more, before deciding that it was perfect. She saved it, and made sure that it was the first thing that popped up when someone turned on the computer. Then she made sure she said nothing more. She wanted those to be her last words. As she walked into the bathroom, she wasn’t afraid at all. She had always wanted a peaceful death. She took out her prescription pills, and carried them over to her bedside table, where a tall glass of water stood. One by one, she swallowed the pills, until the entire bottle was empty. “Well mom,” she thought, “you’ve got your wish. I’ll never get another F, I’ll never make you want to hit me, I’ll never ask you for anything ever again.”
She died smiling.
As the light fills the court and the sweat fills his face I stare at him dribble with my uncle. As the orange sphere makes history in my mind, I can’t help but wonder how this angel I call Daddy came to be.

The heat was on. Time was running out. The hoop was right there, several feet from him, with two teamfuls of people separating the two. This was the kind of mement that defined careers. If he could pull this off, he’d be golden. Set.

Round and round goes the hoola hoop and the little girl is concentrated on keeping it that way. No fears, no anxiety, just getting the hoop to the next round, that’s all that matters.
The hoop was there, just as it always way. Part of a barrel or something … I don’t know. All I know is that ever since I have been coming here the hoop has been there.
