  1. In high school, I loved to play basketball because I was tall and good at it. What a rush of joy when making a basket. What a fun feeling playing on a team. I haven’t really done anything like that since and I admit I miss the team spirit.

  2. If there was one thing Serafina hated more than anything, it was the idea of a hoop-skirt. She’d only been asked to wear her mother’s green hoop-skirt dress before, but that had been one of the worst days of her life. It was enough to be trapped in a world with no end, a circle, a hoop. But put that underneath a dress, as a constant reminder? It was all pure torture.

  3. I framed my face with one on either side today – two inches in diameter, in silver and tiny semiprecious stones.

  4. With the proper treats, I can get her jumping through hoops and bouncing balls on her nose by this time tomorrow.

  5. It’s like this every day. JUMP! Go Ronnie. Who do they think I am? Do the really think that I’ll keep jumping through the same hoop over and over again just for the amusement of other? Hell no. I’m done.

  6. Molly Hooper smiled nervously as Sherlock beat one of the corpses in the morgue with a riding crop. That’s it, she thought to herself, I am officially insane. Barmy. Off my rocker. Because I am in love with the world’s only consulting detective.

  7. Hoop what the hell is a hoop? A hoop is a loop but with a ‘h’ instead of a ‘L’, therefore it’s a hoop…..hoop hoop hoop….if you replace the h with a p it spells as poop which is what you’re and I am flushing you down the toilet.

  8. My mom loves earrings, at least she used to. She had dangly ones, hoops and studs in all shapes and sizes. Themed earrings for holidays, fancy earrings for going out all dressed up (even though she never gets dressed up OR goes out).

  9. The girl twirled around, trying desperately to keep the hula hoop above the ground. Yet there wasn’t a hint of desperation on her face–her smile was bright and made her cheeks red.
