  3. Humidity messes up my curly locks. I spend hours straightening just to walk outside and POOF! Humidity is a jewish girls worse nightmare. I do like humid rain though, it feels nice, as long as I don’t straighten my hair prior to going out in it…

    Lucy Abrams
  4. This summer was the most humid I have ever felt. In my practical cookign class, I had to make a hot dish on the stove top. It was the worst day of my life. Until I went swimming during sunset in the ocean. Then it was the best. I love Summer.

    Hannah
  5. Sometimes my girlfriend says she is humid. I know she means that she feels sweaty, but she grew up in Germany so the things she says don’t exactly compare to how we would have grown up saying them. I do love her though in so many ways… this is just another one of them.

    David
  6. nostalgia and ennui feel consumingly humid, a grey feeling that stems not from roots but from sunkin clouds that seek the crystalline peaks of snowy mountains. Humid is the cigarrette smoke sleeping in the ashtray. Humid is the paddle wheel of days. Humid is the long grey hair on my shower floor.

  9. The humidity is killing me. I’m sweating like a man, and it feels a good fifteen degrees hotter than it really is. The swamp cooler doesn’t do shit in weather like this. And these fans are driving me out of my goddamn mind.

    Tomato
  10. Humidity is where I live. It’s a little city called St. Louis and it knows humidity better than you do. Sticky mornings and nights? St. Louis has got them. It’s pretty much the definition of miserable.

    Tiffany
  11. I hate humidity. The humidity in Texas is insufferable. I just moved from Texas to Arizona. I’d take Texas humidity forever over living here for several months. It sucks, the people are dicks, and there is nothing to do. I just want to go back…

  12. st. louis in the city summers, sticking to hands and backs, a pup nibbles on my toes and calves, and i brush her away as i brush droplets off my nose. more constellations are showing up on my face and my arms the longer i stay out – out of touch – out of living in community – communing with ghosts and fog and crickets at night.

  13. The humidity hits my hair, and immediately turns to curls. The curls go on and on such as the path of life. Humid, hot, sweat drips off my face. The harder i work the hotter it seems.

    Kelsey
  14. It’s humid outside. I’ll start sweating like a bitch and be uncomfortable. Maybe I’ll just stay inside. No weather can get to you when you’re behind brick walls. You can watch it from a window, and be perfectly content. Which is why, I spent the whole day outside with a sweater and long pants.

    Cheyenne
  15. It’s humid here- the air sticks to you and clings, making you feel muggy. I remember, one year, my family and I visited Arizona- I loved how dry it was. It was hot, but not horrible- I enjoyed not feeling sticky.

    Kristin
  16. wet soggy bad days I hate being out on hot humid days. The worst days to have a heavy backpack on or to be out hiking in heavy gear. Makes me feel languid.

    Tim
  17. New England summers. I sit on the beach every day for work; I can’t move, I can’t think. It’s as though I’m being smothered in a burning room by a hot blanket. Humidity is hell on earth.

    Brigitte
  18. today and everyday for the past week and a half. gross.

  19. it was moist, but not in that dirty way, more in a wet way, no that still sounds dirty too, I guess its was just damp. there, that’s better.

    Rudy
  20. Sometimes it’s humid out. I see sweaty old men wearing wife beaters that stick to their large, harry man-boobs and I want to vomit but don’t. I don’t understand the meaning of wife beaters. Do men put on wife beaters to specifically beat their wives? Can you only beat your wife if you are wearing a wife beater? This really has nothing to do with humidity. Woops.

  21. hot like unearly clouds in the atmosphere just hotness spread sticky feelings summer in the east coast, D.C area jajaj uhhh HUMID…………………………………………………………………….

  22. One time I was outside walking my dog and it was humid. I nearly collapsed and would have died had it not been for my magical water bottle that I usually keep with me but had forgotten. Luckily my water bottle is magical, obviously, and appeared next to me out of thin air. I took a swig of lukeish warm water and gulped. All was fine. I lived.

    claire
  24. today wasn’t really, it was actually pretty nice out, which is rare for a new england summer day in the eighties. I really enjoyed the lack of humidity.

    Rhiannon
  25. damp, hot weather that’s unpleasant to breathe in. possibly tropical temperatures, forests. the equator, lots of lush, green plant life. bright colors of green of the plants. rain forests in general.

    Angela
  26. The air is humid and it is making little hairs stick to the back of my neck. Whenever it feels like ths I feel like I’ve been hit by a brick. But I can’t complain today. Today is the first day in a long time that I feel completely happy. Today I get to see you.

    Amanda
  27. Humid. That’s exactly how summer should be. But we didn’t have much of a summer this year. June got rained out. July passed in a blur of days, as well. The weather last month wasn’t as humid as it could have been either. I blame global warming.

    Abby

  30. humid is the water on the glass of a window on a rainy day. You press your forehead against this window and have it slide down slowly watching the clear marks where your forehead drags away all the condensation of the window. Wait! that’s the wrong word isnt it? shit what do i do now?

    Blaze
  31. It was a humid day outside. Rain pattered on the windowsill drowning out the sound of the Tv turned on in the back room.

    Sarah
  32. lazy days of summertime.

    Sasha
  33. wet air shouldn’t be a part of life. I would much rather drink my water than inhale it. One of the most humid places I’ve been I felt like I was choking on the air. Dry air is easier to breathe.

    Rachel
  34. it is humid in your heart when you feel the breath leave your body. For some reason the love that surrounded you only moments earlier has left nothing but a damp dark place. When taken in small doses this humidity is bearable, but now its not.

    Sam
  35. It’s hot, but it’s cool in
    secret places where-
water is afraid to be water and
women are against the sun in
    theory.

    Ericka Aguilar
  36. sweaty, the water drips down from their chin. they walk out onto the plain, the sun high overhead, but such beauty will not last, for an asteroid is coming. goodbye,

    ben sassy
  37. a long old road on a hazy night full of marijuana, lsd, and mushrooms. a beautiful scene to the few who experienced it through new eyes. they looked at the pale colors of the road vividly juxtaposed to the brightness of the air.

    Matthew
  38. It was a hot, humid day. Things moved, but they did so sticky, slow and sweet, like molasses. Flies buzzed busily, and I was convinced that I wouldn’t need to drink anything, just open my mouth and let the moisture in.

    chimwemwe
  39. Oh yes, it’s humid in FL in the summertime. In the garage, it’s overwhelming as I do the laundry. Even with the fan blowing on me, I’m melting. Go outside for a bit, I think, maybe it’s better out there. But no, I was wrong, so I run back into the A/C with a sigh of relief
