  22. Sometimes life contains idle mysteries, things we have forgotten to remember such as the shapes and colors of all the shoes, mittens, or gloves we wore and other things in pairs. There’s nothing to do – completely different from when I’m at school, always doing something. Life is moving at school, with my friends, but it’s standing still at home, fossilizing, boring to death. I like idleness, but I also hate it.

  39. The importance of being idle,a phrase so often used, but so rarely understood in todays busy world. To be truly idle,is not to be simple lazy,or perhaps not doing anything. It is to set ones mind free, free to think and to learn and to process all of the information that has been accumulated over the course of our lives, without the use of dreams,or the wasted time of sleeping.Idleness is a tool, which most people have not only forgotten how to use,but also have built a wall of taboo around. In most modern lifestyles, there is no longer enough time for idleness, and therefore,it is condemed, like so many great ideas and ways of life before it.
