I see an iron floating up in space, it’s about to attack me….AHHhhhhh!!!! the iron is fighting with the toaster and the IRONY of the moment is that neither of them will win but rather that the iron will fall onto the hands of a human being and burn their hands making it all read and itchy and hurting.

  5. I woke up this morning in a foul mood. Examining my closet, I could find nothing that appealed to me. Every shirt I owned was too hideous, or too pink, or too something. Then, when I was about to lose hope, I found it. The perfect shirt. In a crumpled ball at the back of my closet. Thus began my epic quest to find an iron.

  6. The cast-iron gate stood before the old estate like a watchdog, proud and unwelcoming. Ann peered up at the white painted bricks on the house, now peeling from the neglect of twenty years. The ivy crept up the side of the building and crumbled the chimney with its strong roots. On this rainy Tuesday, she was finally back to get rid of this place once and for all.

  8. The swords clanged together over the Arena sands. Once, twice, a third time. They came together, and apart, and the two women holding them drew back, panting.
Athena stood up straighter, and brushed sweat from her brow.
“You’re improving,” she told her student. “But keep your guard up!”
    Mirium nodded.
“Then have at,” Athena said, and came in, her overhand chop aimed to cleave her young pupil in two, if the young woman should miss.

  11. There is one thing I am obsessed with is getting out wrinkles, not only on my clothes or curtains, but in my life. I’ve always been a perfectionist, and even a chip in my nail polish drives me crazy. Ironing removes uncertainty, and polishes when I want to convey with my look.

  14. using the iron to press clothes is somewhat antiquated these days with the wrinkle-free fabric

i do use my iron when i do sewing and need to press open the seams and press in hems

  15. I iron my clothing to get out all the wrinkles of a bad relationship pressed upon my skin. I iron my face clean with ivory soap, iron out the wrinkles and grim, the alcohol from last night’s party. I am the iron man as I dash across the finish line and let my chest kiss and rip the pale blue tape. I iron out our complications, pressing the wrinkles flat and letting time heal all.

  16. IT was a solid piece, and the tip was sharp where it had blood on it. Then I realized it was my blood from when I was picking it up.

  17. I walked toward the fog, and was stopped by a large cast iron gate. I peered through the cold bars and wondered what lay beyond this gloomy unwelcoming threshold. I pushed it open, and a creaking sound cut through the night’s silence. Trudging forward slowly, I realized I was not alone. Right there before me, stood a man – perhaps only years older than myself – staring out into the abyss. Curious as to what he was gazing so intently at, I walked toward him slowly. However, my gentle steps were not discreet enough, he turned around and peered at me inquisitively. “Hello…” I nervously stammered.

  18. iron is something i did not know the abbreviation for in chemistry class. i think its Fe? My friend Abby would know cause i used to cheat off of her in that class…oops! yeah iron is cool.

  20. I walked toward the fog, and was stopped by the site of a cast iron gate. I peered through the cold bars and wondered what lay beyond this gloomy unwelcome. I pushed it open, and a creaking sound cut through the night’s silence. Trudging forward slowly, I realized I was not alone. Right there before me, stood a man – perhaps only years older than myself – staring out into the abyss. Curious as to what he was gazing so intently at, I walked toward him slowly with caution. My gentle steps were not gentle enough, he turned around and peered at me inquisitively.

  21. Strong and cold and larger than life. Its how our world at present came to be. But we are god here. We use the iron for our purposes, mold it to suite our needs. It is a cold life, but not one without love. For here, we see a love of self, a love of power, and love of potential. This is who we’ve become. This is what I love. Iron.

  22. I once dated a guy who was a lot like iron. It’s heavy, magnetic, and metallic in nature… much like the start of our relationship. Shiny and new. No matter how much space you put between us we were always drawn to each other. But as iron does, it readily rusts… as we did. And that rust is all that’s left of the empire we built. So much for iron, right?

  23. iron is an element. a monopoly piece–gauges femininity of chooser. used in similes, i bet. it’s not a pokemon type, and anyone who says iron is a pokemon element is a rub. iron sounds good.

  24. I think people waste huge swathes of their lives ironing. I own an iron, but I rarely use it. I am crumpled and happily so. I think if people stopped ironing everything, and did something more productive with this time, the world would be a far better place, and everyone would be happier. Who needs to be un-creased anyway? Crumpled is good!!!

  25. iron bill. thats what they called him. not on account of toughness as the name might imply, but because of his impressive headgear.

  26. There is something vast here. Cold and strong, but it is nothing in it’s own right. Humanity is god here. We build it up, use it how we like, so that it may serve us. We have the power, look at the city around you. You know why it’s there, and how it came to be. Here, we are god, and we use. Is this earth sans love? I think not, for what you see around you is the love of humanity. The love of self.

  28. Hot Flattens clothes steamy warm helps fix costumes for dance competitions but can be dangerous if left on unnattended can cause fires but used by many women which is kind of stereotyping buy it is sadly true. Men can iron but they never do, but it’s pretty simple. Plus you need irons for iron on patches to decorate purses or school bags which are really fun to put on. Irons also make me think of monopoly even though I never play the iron but someone is always the iron weather we like it or not

  29. its something that you make clothes flat with its very very hot and can cometimes damage clothes cause you can burn really delicate clothes with it but its main cause and purpose is for clothes and you also have to plug it into the wall in order to use it as it needs electicty and also it used to be used to flatten hair too in the olden days…

  30. “DAMN” she yelled.

She should have known. Five days late had been the first sign, followed by bouts of nausea, spread out over the weeks. But still, she clung on to the ever-fraying string of hope that her life wasn’t over, that this was all a fabracation. “Damn it.” she said again, holding the positive test in her trembling hand. “Damn, Damn, Damn. Shit. FUCK.”

And she began to weep, as she bit her cheek and her mouth filled with the taste of iron. She was so alone…or was she…

  32. The man, the myth. He’s strong, he’s flawed, he wears a red costume. He has a deficiency, too. Weak in the knees. Addicted to himself. Addicted to adulation. He’s crowbar-strong, lock-armed, heavy in the biceps, easy on the eyes.

  38. The iron cuffs clanged together ceaselessly as they rode. He was sick of this, the least she could do was allow him both hands to hold on, hell even one would suffice. Honestly, at this rate his thighs would go numb long before they reached the castle, either that or the saddle would come off with him.

  40. The ship looked to be made from some heavy metal, a variant of iron perhaps, rusted and orangey in the vague light of dawn. A slow mist rode the waves towards the port town that hugged the cliffs beyond. A gentle clamour had begun to form, lights flickering on in creaking, tired houses. People gathered, watching the strange ship approach, unsure.
