  7. i TOOK THE KEY FROM THE TABLE. iT WAS SHINY AND COLD, LIKE THE WIND HAD COME IN AND MADE IT COLD. i OBSERVED IT, EVEN SMELLED IT. i DIDN’T LIKE THE METALLIC SMELL IT LEFT ON MY HANDS. i NEVER DID. The lock was tough; i could barely put the key in. It was ven harder to turn it around. After a few minutes of struggle I managed to turn the key until I heard a loud click. I put my hand on the handle and after a few seconds of hesitation, I pulled it downwards and dragged it towards me.

    On the other side of the door there was a window. The curtains was sun bleached, which surprised me since the window was blocked and taped with some kind of plastic bag.

  8. there was a sharp sound coming from the piano which I thought sounded odd. I pressed the note and it sounded out of tune, off key. Strange since the piano was tuned yesterday. Then I decided to look closer and found a lost key lying against the strings which made it sound out of key.

  10. It turned out that I had the key all along. I didn’t realize it, because I spent so much time trying to figure out another escape. If I had just let my pride down, I would have gotten the key out a long time ago. But some battles need time and silence to be fought. I opened the lock and stepped outside. Fresh air. Freedom.

  12. I have a lock to my heart, it seems as though I can not find the one who holds the key. I feel the lock is all rusty but the key is brand new.

  28. They say the key to a relationship is communication. But, in my experience, alot of people “communicate” in different ways, and many times, that can be the biggest source of the problem in a relationship. I am bipolar, my husband has a mental “disorder” that makes him naturally argumentative, so most of the time, the key to our relationship is not so much communicating as it is deciding what isn’t worth fighting about.
