That was a link to the rest of his life, savoring a moment of picking up the gold-colored set of keys and knowing that it would lead him somewhere. It could open a door to the rest of his life or a dungeon. The links of the keychain rattled, making him think of jail.
“How much?” he asked the antique store owner.

car keys go on it, can be beautiful. can tell a lot about a person by what they have on their key chain, my friend has a bottle opener, it tells a lot about his character.

I don’t know what I did to deserve this. I’m not who you think I am. I have faded from use. I am older now. I can’t glimmer with the youthful color that I once did. I am not but a ornament to you on the lanyard of life. just drop me and leave me out in the cold. I’ll be here.
Brings to mind images of chains, silver. Metal. Things attached to it. It has a lot of importance, in that way. People talk about things being connected by chains, but I think a more modern metaphor would come from talking about a keychain, connecting people and things of importance, like little flashlights and keys and pepperspray.

Keychains are pretty awesome. They come in all different shapes and sizes, and are really adorable because some of them can be in shapes of chocolate bars, chickens, fish, and a camera. This is coming from experience – my flatmate collects different keychains and she has all these cute little things. I love it. I don’t really have any keychains but I might try collecting them! Awesome :)

My girlfriend has ..3 locks,4 keys and a wallet chain attached to her keychain. She jingles when she walks :)
I have many of these lying around..I don’t know what it is about a keychain that possesses us to own one from every place we’ve been to and in every color imaginable…I guess we are desperate to hold on to a memory…

A paradoxical creation – a key, something that opens and liberates – tied to a chain! Like the mind how parts of it can be liberating while parts of it ‘en-chain’. Welcome to life!
The keychain I made for him three years ago in Metalworks class still dangled precariously from his backpack. I looked at it surprised that it had not yet fallen off, or that he had not taken it off himself! Surely he could not like it that much?! I smiled at him kindly as he absentmindedly played with it.
The keychain was very different. It had a barn, and a horse. He fondled the keychain in his pocket, as he began to remember about the little girl who previously held the keychain. This resembled everything. How she used to go to the barn to feed her horses, how she lived with the horses. Now she’s gone. he killed her, and she’s gone, the only thing left behind is her keychain.

clickity clakety. key. chain. not really a chain is it? yeah. key holder. key spot. key loop. key…… key doodle? ha.

I used to collect keychains. Or at least I thought I did. I used to ask people to bring me back a keychain whenever they went on vacation, but I only got one or two.
I rarely have interesting keychains. I have one now that I got from Pokerstars that has a little flashlight on it. That’s very good for looking for things in the dark, and since my trunk’s light no longer work, it’s valuable for getting groceries at night or something.
I have one. Not really, but I used to. They used to be funny and witty and cute. They used to say things about boys and sex and drugs and things I knew nothing about and I loved them and that was all that mattered. Now I have none. For convenience’s sake. It’s not that I like it, it’s just that it’s convenient. Which isn’t the way that life should be lived. I’m sorry I don’t have more keychains. I really am.

I like to collect keychains. I love them. Dangling there. Just perfect. Each has it’s own personality. And each is different and unique than the other. I love to show them off. Have people be be founded by them and the amount I have. Colorful, wondferdul. Imagination. Childhood remembrance. Yes. Thank you.

I have an air force keychain.i don’t really use keychains to often, probably because i don’t have a car. I like keychains with humorous sayings.

typically metal. holds kets. can come in many decorative varieties; commonly themed with names or visited location or vacation.

i like key chains. i have alot of them. i have one on my keys. i like how useful they are. i like it when they are really cool looking.

She wanted nothing more than to grow up. To carry around a set of keys. To have a cute little keychain dangling from them. To go see pg-13 movies. To babysit. To have a cell phone. To kiss a boy. When she looked in the mirror, she saw a awkward, lanky eight year old with curly hair and freckles. But when she closed her eyes, she was fabulous. She was a teenager.

oh you just dangle from those keys. so shiny and interesting. Its what the cute guy in line at the grocery store is looking at as i pull my debit card out to pay for my things. And then you drop. so effortlessley onto the tile. He bends over to pick you up. He then turns to me as I am leaving with my bags. “Is this yours” I smile as he hands you back over to me. He doesn’t want to let you go….but he does. “Cute” he says with a smile. Thanks again keychain your always there to start a conversation.

My keychain brings me great memories. I got it for my birthday from my best guy friend. I love him too much for words. This past year we’ve gotten much closer, and one day I woke up and looked at my keychain and realized that all along I really do love him..and not as a brother.
I have a keychain with many useless items on it. Most are keys I do not use. Perhaps the least useless of all is my bottle opener. Its about the only practical thing I have with me always. Hanging from my beltloop,
Doug
Stop at a little convenience store off the beach, bare foot and salty water clinging to your skin. A souvenir shaped as a seashell will remind you of this moment of bliss.
Madeline
hanging gently behind my keys jangling freely in the breeze shining in my eyes everytime the sun hits you. i wish i could be like you and be free. i wish i could see all of the strange places you’ve seen. oh how amazing that would be. to be a keychain. it would be strange but sweet. i believe that you come from a different world oh wonders of my life. you hold the pictures of my loved ones so dear to me. reminding me what i have to keep close to my heart. to keep me driving like a sunday grandma after church. i have other things to look out for. this i know. thank you for that.
Jessica
The keys on my keychain never seem to fit the role of a good neighbor to the other keys on the keychain. The keys are always clashing on certain life issues. I will never understand this about my keychain
i have tried to collect various keychains from places i’ve been. useful keychains, not just decorative crap. at one point, i had so many keychains on my key ring that the entire collection felt like a brick. what a waste! i have since down sized, and now only keep a barrage of rewards cards and a bottle opener.
Stupid ass keys. I swear I left them right here, right on the table. How is this possible? A fuckin midget must’ve walked in a stolen them right? No? Well then where are they? Well help me find them bitch!
keychains are amazingly fun and great to have around. however sometimes your keys do fall off of your keychain which is always sad. one time my keychain had a rape whistle. the rape whistle fell off and i was worried about what would happen if i walked down a dark alley. sure enough, the next night a guy was following me to my car. the rape whistle should have been on my keychain.

key chain: keep of keys, what is the use of a key chain? Is it supposed to decorate your key ring? Add a little flair? show people who you really are? Or is what you show people really who you really are?

The keychain hangs from my purse, nowhere near its original purpose, just existing as a way to further my laziness. I don’t want to reach for the zipper so I reach for the big, clunky keychain instead. Some say its a fashion statement. Why else would the garish, twisted metal hang there?
Caity Grace
A little knick-knack; I’d rather have an entire keyring full of mementos from faraway places and reams, plush reminders of days gone by, kitschy things to start conversations with. It makes having a key so much more fun. And easier to find in my black hole of a bag. You’ll know it’s me when you hear the chiming and clanging; that is, if it’s audible over my heels against the pavement. Clack. Clack. Cling! Clack.
a gift from my uncle he brought back from washington dc. i’ve never been but i still have the chain. it’s probably some cheesy thing from the airport, but i have so little of him left. i miss you uncle.
Sarah
I have a huge keychain. It has tons of keychain ornaments on it. There is one from my trip to Cancun, and there is a brass moon that was given to me when I worked for Youth in Motion. I also have a whistle and there are a couple of other things on it. I don’t use it because it’s too big, but that’s my keychain. It’s just for memories, not for real usage. My actual keychain just has 3 keys on it and that’s it. The End.

Every year since I was 5 years old my grandma bought me a keychain whenever they went on vacation… But why would my grandma buy a 5 year-old a keychain? As if I had any keys… When I was in hawaii, age 16, my biology teacher bought me a bottle opener keychain… some teacher!!
Saxon Shaw
it carries things that are supposedly the most important to you, the most valuable: car, house, money saving tickets, but no where on that ring can i find the child i want to have
Marybeth
Holds magical things
That can open new doors
And lock out unneeded flings
Keychains are great gifts when youre going on vacation and you want to bring something back for someone. They are cheap and the person can always be remembered of you where ever they go with their car. They are also very cute and you can get some personalized with the person’s name on it or the city that you visited.
