My keychain is weird, because it has more keychains dangling from it than actual keys. I probably have 4 keys and about 5 keychains. From it I also have my Borders rewards card and my Hot Topic +1 card. It comes in handy. Yep!
Laura
i had a keychain, it broke. it was my favorite. i miss it very much. it is odd how one can miss somthing so insignificant…oh wee. i have a new one now. i like it. it is from my best friend. it is manabe.
Catherine
Shiny, golden, this gift would be better than any keychain Maria could give him. I’d win over him for sure. I’d just need to grab it…. slowly sneak it into my pocket….
I stopped dead in my tracks when I felt Mr. Hatchen’s icy fingers grasp my wrist and start shaking it to get the pocket watch back from its new found home in my jacket pocket.

My keychain is an old fashioned key which is strong and sturdy to remind me that my keys are important

gets in the way and is never helpful to find your keys whenever you lose them…like when you search through the papers on your desk and can’t see the keychain…or it falls off because it’s so used. Mostly, though, it’s a symbol of expression: peace, smiley face, and [your name here]

On a key chain there is never just a key. Upon it is all these neat little things that you have collected over the years allowing you to remember past moments that bring you all different kinds of emotions. Some good, some bad, some distant, some close. Although its a simple everyday item it holds many different memories.

i always lusted after those dangling, clanging behemoths. I thought I really wanted one, that it would mean i was a little bit important. Now i realize it just means I’m an adult.

There’s this keychain that I’ve been looking for for the past 5 years. My grandpa gave it to me and now I realize how accurately this keychain symbols our relationship. Gone, but I’m trying to get it back.
Annie
I can never find my keychain when I want it. Its like little gremlins come every night and hide them from me. Then I drink my coffee. Oh yeah, they are in my pocket… right. Thats when I knew I was 30. My mind is slipping.
Josh
when i was eight i gave my mother a keychain with the words “i love you” on it. she immediately put it with her keys and kept it there for years. i remember smiling everytime i saw it hanging from her hands. one day she went out of town, and when she came back, it wasn’t there anymore.
Kayla
I use a carabiner for a keychain. I bought it 18 years ago when I went into a sorting good store to replace the plastic one I had. The young man (15 years my junior) came up to me and asked me if I climbed. I told him I didn’t, but was soon to be visiting a friend in Seattle who did. He offered to teach me to climb and I took him up on it.
Andie
I’ve been using the same keychain for so long now. I like it because its slim but sometimes I also get to thinking it doesn’t look very expensive. I thive on looks.

Drove an hour in the rain
for a swampy set up, abandoned stage and
the guests, VIPS, and musicians didn’t go in;
drove an hour home, and on the way
got hit by a pizza driver
driving through a yield sign on the parkway,
in the rain,
the pouring fcking rain;
the electricity’s out when we get home
4 dollars in tolls and 17 dollars in gas later,
and there’s a million candles lit
apple cinnamon and blue ocean scents, jasmine incense;
dropped my grilled cheese in the sink,
but it was burned anyway –
my fault not his,
got a letter from the radio people today,
about the concert that i had won –
the one that was seemingly canceled last night.
they’re sending me a key chain.
mikaela
the picture dangles, clanks and shines with a moment we captured so long – yet in my mind not so long- ago. I remember when you looked at me with that beautiful smile upon your face, and how it still to this day makes me happy. I hope one day you’ll smile at me like that again.
Josh Miller
THe keychain slipped from my fingers and tumbled into the sewer grate. I couldn’t breathe as I saw it disappear. As if this day couldn’t get any worse, I had thought. But I was wrong.. So I did the only thing I could do- I sat on the curb and cried.

key chains seem to carry all of your worldy possessions at your fingertips, cards for food, car keys, vacation places you loved, worlds best mom. they sum up your life, without saying a word. You can tell alot about a person by just looking at their keychain. are they in the army? do they play sports? are they simplistic, with only minimal on their keychain or do they have cards from every store theyve been to? how about keys? how many are on there? not to mention key chains are very useful when your rooting around in that big ol bag of yours?
emma
These highly useful items are never really thought about that much. They keep all of our keys in order and where we know where they are. I don’t really know how I would keep my keys in order without it. But there are definitely some improvements that could be made about this simple yet useful invention, I’m just not the person to do it. :P
David
Ring. Holds together keys. Make things simplified. Showing of many keys represents having things house keys car keys. Look for someone with lots of keys. =]

wrapped around a necklace that she wore on her wrist, just because. an led flash light connected to a bottle opener, helps her lighten up at the end of the day.
one day she will lose it. and go insane. simultaneously.

the chain of linking me to you and where and why and what it is.
clink clink oh if i could unclip my self
my thin and withered skin stapled to your side stretching stretching
one day ill rip from you and

keychain, I wish i had one. I mean my keys are pretty empty. But im empty as well. When i see Keychain it reminds me of my ex-bestguyfriend. he had a lot of stuff on his keys. hmm. keychains.
Thanks for reminding me about it.
Alexis
“Is that mine?”
She looked down to see his keychain secured in her fist, and suddenly her cheeks grow red. A small laugh escaped her lips.

The keychain that the dog stole from its master opened the door that allowed it to get its treats

i think of a dog key chain i bought my friend for christmas one time. it was a black yorkshire terrier and it had a red bow around its next. it’s probably one of the lamest gifts you can give your supposive best friend and i feel like i was stupid for buying her a five dollar keychain rather than something better, like a bottle of wine.
Elyse
I like key chains. they dangle and can say a lot about you. they can be kind of annoying though, having to lug it around everywhere. and when you put your key into the ignition and they sway back and forth and hit your leg, that’s really annoying. but some can be funny. i like ones with funny sayings or from places that you travel they can be good reminders and souvenirs.
Eneer
A keychain is empty. There is nothing to support it truly, it only holds others. It gives without recieving, allows those who use it to come and go at will. A keychain gives absolutely everything, and what is recieves…who knows.
Drew McLaughlin
An insignificant object in the midst of truly important things. How insignificant can it really be?
Tiki
it is pretty awesome. It has beads and lots of colors on it. It generally makes a lot of noise because i keep it loose in my ourse or pocket. I have little attachments from when i was in high school plays/. They are great memories.
Ella
what good is a keychain if you still loose your keys ? isn’t a chain suppose to help you keep things?
renee
Keychains are very useful, for such a simple idea. Keys come in different shapes and sizes but they always seem adept at disappearing.
Huggins
the keychain dangled with many everyday objects; a photo of a child, car keys, a miniature light, house keys, an alma matter keychain and assorted other items.

I don’t want to write about the word keychain. Key chains mean nothing to me. I have never had a favourite one. I have never had one that held any special meaning to me. I have never felt sad over a lost keychain…the keys, yes, the chain, no. Do other people become attached to their chains? Or do they never give them a second thought. Actually, I do feel something for keychains. When I see then hanging on a display rack on the counter of some crappy store serving as some sort of last minute purchase temptation, I feel anger. Garbage. Made in China. Creates pollution to create. Ends up in a dump. Junk. Keychains suck.
Shelly
A KEYCHAIN IS IMPORTANT ESPECIALLY IF YOU LOOSE YOUR KEYS OFTEN IT HELPS TO HAVE A BEEPER ON YOUR KEYS SO WHEN YOU LOSE THEM YOU JUST PRESS THE BUTTON AND YOUR KEYS BEEP SO YOU CAN FIND THEM. KEYCHAINS CAN SAY A LOT ABOUT A PERSON DEPENDING ON WHAT IS ON THEM.
ERICA
I got the same word I got last time. I wish that it was a new word, but what can one do? Keychain is a good word, but there are so many words in our language. I could even write about Pi if I had to, but I guess I will write about keychains.
Dana
i have this keychain in my pocket .. i always keep it with me. it’s lucky, i think. at least, it helped me get an A on that chemistry exam last week. my mother often tells me that nothing is lucky, and i often question her on it. i mean, why not? if her wedding ring can be lucky enough to get her a husband, why can’t i have a lucky keyring? i don’t think i quite understand the concept of luck … or keyrings.
jess
I love keychains. They clash against my keys whenever I walk. I once had a White Rabbit Keychain. His pocket watch detached from is hand and eventually his entire arm fell off. I found it once when I was cleaning. He’s still pretty cool, even for part of a keychain.
Dana
Lost and found. Lot’s of trinkets and savings at the grocery store. Interlocking loops and hurt fingernails. I can’t seem to remember what these keys go to. In a year, I’ll put them in my junk box with all of my other old keys.
Carl
He reached into his pocket for his keychain. It was there ten minutes ago when he got off the bus. Where was it now? He could feel his blood pressure rising – where the hell was the bloody thing? The rain fell to the ground in great sheets and the wind was howling like a banshee. Not a good day to be locked out of home.

when i was 8, i had a rabbit’s foot keychain that i took everywhere with me. it hanged from a pink ribbon around my neck and consisted of faded turquoise colored fur. the foot was a prize from a skating rink.
