  19. I put them together to try to make sense, to try to make words and sentences and phrases, and yet sometimes they elude me and try not to fit where they belong. I hear people speak of rules and talk of concepts for how to use these letters in combination to make words, to make sounds, to make sense and yet they still confound me even after I’ve finished my degree.
