  22. letters spell words. Words make up everything we do. Communication is based soley on our ability to communicate with one another. Letters also represent the idea of putting random things together and having them suddenly make sense. What if I was someone who had never learned to interperet letters and realize they created words?

  26. “Letters my Lord, from Hamlet”….Best Shakespeare line ever as said by the messenger in the play last year…aka me. It was my greatest role yet, well aside from gentlewoman who was epic to the max. There are still so many jokes about the letter line and it cracks me up every time we talk about it. I love drama class and the people in it.

  29. The letters began to arrive three days past his funeral.
Hand-written on thick, creamy stock and in ink – with an elegant fountain pen, no less – each explained some mystery of him to friends and family. They were written in his forceful voice, but lacked his humility and his humor. Its as if the words were instructions for putting together a prefabricated coffee table.

  34. I wrote you letters
    Reams of paper
    Falling to the floor
    I tried to say
    What needed to be said
    It didn’t matter
    You never read them
When I tried to talk to you
    You nodded
    Then ignored each word
    Walked over it
    Like you did each boundry
I tried to put in place
    Until my only choice
    Was to leave
You even tried to ignore that
    Telling me
    You didn’t want
    To let me go
    But this is one choice
    You don’t get to ignore
