black licorice is completely disgusting. The red kind is alright but by no means good. One time I found apple flavoured licorice it wasn’t bad, I like apple flavoured things. When I was young I bit into licorice and it pulled out my tooth

My mom always get licorice bites. It’s her favorite splurge food. She seems to think that it’s healthy, though I’d still consider it a junk food. I don’t know. I never really got the appeal.

I love licorice. A lot of my friends and family members make fun of me because I hold preference to dark salt licorice. The truth is, I’m not crazy about the flavor but I love sucking on a piece because it reminds me of when I traveled Europe.

My mom loves licorice, and black licorice. And black panda licorice. And I like it, too. And licorice is not spelled “lickorish.” Why not?

it’s perfection.
red vines licorice, air dried to a nice chewy texture, sits on my desk in a cup, right where i can reach it at any time.
not twizzlers, those pretentious bits of cherry flavour, but, thick, well flavoured, perfect sized red vines…
…air dried.
with these around, you can survive anything. bad day, bad hair, writers block, broken heart, that feeling your stomach is a big empty pit of sadness.
biting in, long session of chewing, the taste flowing over your tongue… yes, with these, you know tomorrow is another day.

The tast of licorice still lingers after I kissed you briefly on your lips. The chapstick that you used makes me smile, because it reminds me of you, of the nights that we spent under the stars cuddling, or at the movies together, or even just spending a cold winter night at home, you curled up in my arms, both of us snuggled under a blanket, watching movie after movie after the snow falls.

fireflies in the night,
they twist and turn like licorice sticks,
lighting the path for you and for me.
along candyland road, i wonder who we’ll meet or how far we go. and in the end, will we entangled like a licorice strand?

twist yourself together,
knot it for a friend.
it may not last forever,
but it doesn’t have to end.

Licorice is dark. I’m excited to say I’m not addicted to it. Blood was streaming down my face as I stared blankly at the candy. This was wrong on so many levels. My attacker giving me candy. Funny.
Cassidy
I don’t like black licorice, but I love red licorice. I used to like to use a licorice stick as a straw to drink from. I haven’t done that for a long while. We all like to have red licorice sticks to munch one while traveling
Jacqueline

Red licorice turns and twists. Gleaming. Beckoning with its promised sweetness. A short dalliance and then no more. But one is not enough. I need more.
But, then the black jealously asks to join us.
Mike
The sweet black taste stained his lips and gums. Not the color, but the permeated his mouth and he breathed life into every passing woman. they were taken aback, but the rich exotic, cinnamon, animal scent of him was too much to resist. He screamed once at the sky and ran, naked, through the streets. Your eyes had to follow him. He was like God.

tastes good when it’s done right, my uncle used to make it. don’t know if anybody still has the time to make something from scratch that needs such a long time to be made. don’t think anybody has the time these days, cakes and food is made from chemically “enhanced” products, bags that you throw in the oven and come up, somehow, with a cake. Not fun. We need more time in our lifes…

the stuff my grandmother loves. its dark and aromatic and strong. the box has a panda on it and it sits on the kitchen table with the sticky, old plastic cover. A pot of coffee sits next to it and paklava is in the oven

Sweet stringy bite.
Savory lick lingering.
Black’s okay but red is where it’s at.
Nothing like a good chew on a licorice rope.
Noodle Bear
Black licorice has always tasted very badly, almost like bad mix of medicine, mouthwash, and ancovies. The smell of licorice is not enticing, couople that with a lot of empty carbohydrates and you have a very bad snack.
I know people like to eat licorice and popcorn while watching movies, but I would rather drink water and not eat a thing.
TB
strands of black and red slowly trailing into her mouth, sticky fingers pushing pulling half inside half out. there is madness where the games begin, sadness when it ends. a nostalgic reminder of her smaller, better days.

Licorice? I hate licorice! Somebody ate all the red ones and left me the licorice. If I had to guess, it would be Ralph —- he’s so sneaky that way.

I am not a fan. When I was nine I ate an entire box of Red Vines while watching ‘The Navigator’ at my local theatre. I went home and threw up. Haven’t had it since. Oh, and April 12th is National licorice day. FYI.

I hate licorice. Well, at lease black licorice. But I guess strawberry licorice isn’t really licorice is it? I mean it’s a plant or something, right? I may never no. Maybe I should look it up? It tastes weird.
