  3. listen to what?
this rediculous ass fucking lesson thingy?
what am i to gain from this?
if i listen, i will regret having wasted my time.
I will feel like I was too busy trying to gain something from some incomplete thought that somebody was too distracted to communicate fully.

  4. I need to listen more and talk less. Maybe the kids don’t feel that I listen to them…it is true I have alot to say most of the time and since I don’t feel like I am being heard I keep talking…I wish they would talk more so I could listen…Maybe if I am quiet long enough they will give me something interesting to listen to!

    Willowlabby
  5. What are you doing, i asked.

Listening to your heart, she said. She smooshed her head up under my left boob.

    Sounds like, she answered.

  6. Listen up. Read. If you can’t fucking read, I don’t want to listen to you. I know you can read, you’re an adult with a college education. Good for you! This doesn’t mean you have the choice of what you want to read, and what you want to ignore.

    Josh
  7. When we tell other people that we’re listening to them, what do we mean? One would presume, comprehending their words and thoughts and feelings, the ones they express through vocalization. But that’s more like hearing than listening – it’s a basic level of understanding, and no more. Listening is something different. When you’re listening, you hear simple things – the call of a bird, the roar of the ocean, a child’s laughter, the rawness of someone else’s emotion.

  8. the exact thing i am not doing right now as i sit in my Torts class in Law School. foolish, you might think, but i think not. I read the assignment and know what is going on for the most part. i also have a terrible cold and feel like i’m about to fall over. someone else, other than the professor is talking, i’m listening a little now, but it sounds all muffled. right now, because of my cold, when i talk it it hard to recognize my own voice and no one else can really figure out what i am saying. nevertheless, we are switching gears and i am going to listen.

  9. to listen is to hear, to hear is to heed, to heed is to act and to act is to make a decision. to make a decision is individuality and that is human.

I hear taj talking but I can’t listen because I’m trying to write I listen to music I listen to my head I listen to the sound of the clouds passing by I listen to you I hear you I listen to your heart beating I listen to the sound of you breathing in your sleep I listen to everything you say but you don’t think I hear you. Listen to me. Listen you say. Ecoute-moi. Listen! hahahaha. I’m listening, I hear you listen to the leaves in the trees listen to your friends talking listen to the metro as it passes by listen to the time pass and the clock tick and the tea maker finish boiling. Listen to the traffic to your mind moving to the sound of the keys as I type, listen to your heart if you can if you can hear it and what it says. Not always easy to hear, even if you are listening. Don’t listen too hard though, it’s important to feel something too. Listen, I can’t spell when I type this fast… okay…. it’s funny this website it’s funny. Has it been 60 seconds? Listen, I think it has been.

  14. Listen to me, I can only say this once. Learn to listen to everything around you, things you normally do not pay any mind to. You will learn great things , secrets and mysteries and profound revelations if you just learn to listen. You will reach enlightenment. Just open up your mind and listen.

    Vincent

  16. listening!!!An art indeed!!! How few of us actually listen???The birds that chirp, the trees rustling …the wind blowing. All we want is a silence…….but silence is something even we dont understand. Why do we pass through life without listening.

  17. listen up, JERK! I was swingin’ from a tree, eatin’ apples when a monkey stole my juice box. That’s my story! I have nothing to do with that murder. I DID NOT KNOW that that giant “turkey” leg I was knawing on was actually man flesh.

  18. Learning is the best thing and the best way is just to listen. If you listen wth you heart you will learn to love, with your soul you will learn to forgive and with your ears – wisdom will come. It is soft and wonderful. The eyes also listen as they see the world…the hands feel and listen to the touch of everything. Just listen. Wow. Hear with it all. Sensitive and small yet great lessons from all.

  20. how does one even listen? listening is transcending hearing, for hearing is the lack of understanding. yet how do we know we listen in the first place? we do not know for our senses could be lying to us. there is no way to ever know for sure what we hear or UNDERSTAND is real! understanding is based on varying principles that we all think we agree on, even listening itself is a phrase that we think we know.

    Ulrich Heward

  25. Is a very hard thing to do because your mind wants to hear, but it produces its own thoughts and memories that scream to come out. Especially when you are with a group. We should all try to listen more and speak less. That is why we have two ears and one mouth.

    mia

  28. IF you listen, who knows what you may hear. The whisper of the wind through the branches, the cry of the birds as they awake, or darker more sinister things. The screams of the broken and bleeding as they fall from grace, or the cries for help from those too far gone into pain and suffering to care.

    E. Dana
  29. So hard to open my ears and really think about what you are saying. You give me the look as if you care, yet behind it, I know you could care less what I say. Yet, I drone on. I bore everyone I speak with, unless I am angry and dramatic.

    Chad Miller

  32. Listening is a skill that any woman will tell you men do not posess. Listening is what everyone of us profits from day to day without even noticing. Listening is probably the most vital aspect of all communication. You listen to people’s stories, and you get loads of information about them – not even the story, the way they tell it is sometimes much more interesting.

    Henning Stedtnitz
  33. listening is much more than hearing audible words and phrases. a good listener always comes with a good mind and an open attitude and a damn good expression on their face when you tell them whatever boring or genius thought you can think of.

    steph

    your words are music
I could ride the wave of your thoughts
    through the sonatas

  36. Listen to the sound of the river. Always in motion, always changing. We were told once that it is impossible to step into the same river twice. Well, that may be true, but the turbulence, the motion, the ever-changing flow from who knows where, through here to there will always be with us.

    Tom
  37. listen to your thoughts and your feelings i have travelled the entire universe to find you!

    benjamin
  38. The fat man rests in his chair and looks at me with an incredible amount of disdain. I laid out my case so clear it was crystal, but he still didn’t want to hear it. Apparently self defense doesn’t count for much any more. I would be forced to undergo whatever punishment he decided was appropriate.
