she sensed the door before she knew it was there. it creaked open and she walked inside. it slammed shut and locked behind her. the lighting in the room was terrible, just a hanging bulb on a string, but even then she could see there was no way out.

the lock on the door creaks as I try to open it. It is obviously aged and hasn’t been used in a while. The door opens to reveal a long hallway with 20 doors or so. Each door appears to have the same lock.

A lock is a device used to keep things in one place.

Locks are part of one of my favorite items in the whole entire world. The Key. I love everything about the key. The mystery of whether the key and lock are actually holding something in or if they are actually keeping something out? Who knows, it brings much mystery to our boring lives. It gives us a sense of wonder and is almost like a movie, it lets us escape our daily lives and indulge in something that is completely meant for entertainment.

I don’t know what to say. The first thing I thought off was like, a locked heart in a relationship. Kinda like a marriage or a really good relationship. Too bad mines not like that :( But yeah, locks and stuff. Go locks!
Chris
a lock the most secure thing you could possibly think of, no floors no breaking. nothing changes or seeps through in a secure lock. holds everything in place.

I believe that a lock down is in place where I work some days. People believe that they are locked into their positions and their lives. Perpetual lockdown. We are all in lockdown when we are not fulfilling our greatest achievements, ourselves.

I wasn’t prepared for his challenge. Old man Branigen turned to reveal a small wooden box. “Open it in under 2 minutes,” he said. Shocked, my eyes quickly scanned the box. My focus fell upon the peculiarly shaped lock, shaped like a flower with no apparent openings for a key.

Close the door, now lock it. Good. Open the window, it’s hot. Maybe turn on the fan. Flip on the lights. Look down. Are you tired? Okay. Put on pajamas. Actually, just take off your clothes and throw them in the hamper. Turn off the lights. Sleep.
I’m locked in here. Will I ever escape? I don’t think I will….What about my family? Will they still think of me? I need to break free. I don’t want to be forgotten! I still have so many things to see and do.
Locked myself in a room, cant go out. Man in the house looking for something. Have to hide in here, cant let him find me.

Lock and key and heart. There’s a necklace lying on the dresser. A thin silver chain. On it hangs a wrought iron key, too big for the delicate chain, too powerful looking, too ancient. He left me the key but took the lock with him.
something of a neccesity. In many forms and only effective in a few fashions. Nothing thats interesting enough write about though. Ssee you tommorrow.

If you peek through the lock, I’ll show you something good. I’ll show the arts of bed making and sleep talking. I’ll show you some fear and I’ll show you some secrets.
And if you peek through the lock, I’ll have to kill you.
There’s a lock on my heart. I want to see who cares enough to search for the key to open it. Only then will they be worthy of what I’m holding inside. Locks aren’t always a setback. Sometimes they test you so much, so that when you unlock them, you’re a stronger person than you were before you opened it.

i want to put a lock on everything that i have in my life now. I’m afraid of the change that will come when i leave for college in a week. Life is too good right now to not put a lock on the people that are in it. It’s too bad that change is the only permanent thing in life.
There was always a lock on the door and he never understood why.
“That’s where I keep my tools,” his dad would say.
His family has since moved and his dad has long since passed. He still wonders about that lock sometimes and whether or not it really protected what his dad said it did.
It was locked. The ardent wishes, every single dream. All put away in some safe, somewhere unknown. But it wasn’t that private, for he could see it’s existence in her eyes. And all he wanted to do, was to find the safe. Gain the key. Let her know that he was there. And he understood.
The lock wouldn’t budge. He rammed the door with his shoulder, thinking he was Hercules for a short time. The dizzying pain brought him back to reality. He stared hard at the solid oak door

Click.
The door swung wide, and she stared into the gloom, her candle barely seeming to reach anywhere at all. Her toes were cold against the hardwood, her nightgown seemed thin and useless when faced with the blackness of the room beyond. A roaring silence seeped out.
She wanted to throw away the key.
this is the wall, the well the room that i am in i cannot see but feel the brickwork the drips of water on the surface the smell of the stench the warmth the stifling heat, the click on the key hole the movement of the metal on metal rubs against my mind.

it is a giant security feature in most houses. it makes us all feel safe. unfortunately we uses them mostly to lock ourselves in rather then bad guys out.

I locked the door, and ran inside. I didn’t want to hear anymore of it. i closed my eyes and hugged mr. wiggles. I hate them. I hate them. I hate them.

locks say things. they tell you that you are not allowed inside, that there is something on the other side of the lock that is secret, and important. I lock my house, my car, i lock up the dog when I leave, lock teh bathroom door when I pee, or shower. No one ever locks up that which they find unimportant.

The key slipped into the lock effortlessly. She twisted it to the left. The key wouldn’t budge. She twisted it to the right. Still it wouldn’t budge. She tried jiggling the key in the lock, but nothing happened.
“How on earth am I going to get this pinball machine open? I need more credit!”
They told me I had a lock on the job. Some lock! The moment I got his call I knew the lock had been broken. His voice had that pensive, shy quality that told me bad news was coming. I was right.

maybe someday, someone will find the key to my locked heart. i locked it very tight after all, and someone will have to work really, very hard in order to find the key. only i know where it is, and how to reach it. anyone willing to try hard enough will find it, but that doesn’t mean ill be as easy to give it up so fast.
you must be brave, trustworthy, a good listener, a comedian…
maybe i’ll give it up.
maybe i wont…
it is something that can only be told in time.

i locked the door, quietly and quickly. i could hear the intruders down stairs. rifling threw my draws and closest, throwing whatever voluble’s they could find in a bag. i grabbed the nearest phone and drew quickly to my closet.

It was locked, Dennis became distressed as he figured that he would have to stay the night. The sounds in the room got louder as he turned and stared into the darkness unable to see anything.

The key to the lock in your soul is held only by the one above, if you let him in your heart will rest in peace and your life will be renewed. Unlock your fear and give in to love. Unlock the hatred and give in to faith. Give in to compassion and kindness to others. Unlock your soul.

I’m on lockdown. Apparently there’s an “hourly usage limit” on Twitter. WTF?! I was mostly adding/listing people, not tweeting or re-tweeting, and certainly not spamming! Grrr…
It is used to hold shut things. To block or keep things/people out. They can sometimes do more harm than good… Especially if you lose the key! :P
Well it could be a lock of hair too I guess! :D
There was a lock that didn’t fit any of the keys I could find in the house, and i wondered everyday as I grew up and saw that lock on the door what it could be, or why my mother and father never talked about it. I had tried to pick the lock before but I never was able to crack it: all I could ask myself, is what was in that room so important to keep locked away?
