  1. Lucky. I have sixty seconds to write about this? Okay. So don’t think, just write. It’s hard to say if I believe in it or not, but someone once said there’s no such thing as luck, there’s just preparation met with opportunity. Which is a really sensible way to think about it but then where’s the divine?

  2. I think of that song, “I’m feelin’ lucky… yeah, yeah…” and it goes on. Makes me think of Lyle Lovett because he’s mentioned in the song. Lucky. I could use some luck right now. Maybe I’ll be singing my own song soon… Lyle does live just down the road.

  4. I’m lucky to have so much crap. Crap won’t do it for me, though. I mean, I’m spoiled. Even recently I’ve just been ridiculously spoiled, and i’m lucky for it, although being spoiled makes me stop at night, unsatisfied with all my crap, feelin’ a little nauseous. I’m lucky for it.

  12. Some people are lucky every time they walk out the door. Finding silver dollars wedged in the sidewalk cracks, goldfish in puddles, and free coffees at their favorite diners. There are other people who are more like myself who end up walking into a thunderstorm made of fish and finding oneself completely washed away.

  17. I am solo lucky to have a great family And the best friends on the world. I M also luck for my house that I have to live in because others less fortunate do not have homes. Some dingy believe in luck but being lucky is a state of mind like being happy. If I were in love right now that person would hopefully be my best friend And I would be so very lucky for that.   19. I don’t know if I believe in lucky. Do you reckon, right, if i was to nearly drown, would that be lucky? I think it’s be quite unlucky. I don’t believe in much of anything. But Luck?! least of all. My mum always talks about Karma and that makes more sense to me. She’s a smart woman, my mum, but since the cancer she’s gone a bit soft. Not that she’s old. :)

I look and I observe that even people who are up to the neck in problems still manage to squeeze a moment of their time to smile, teeth glistening white, maybe even yellow. I smile too, you know. I feel like being rich doesn’t mean you’re lucky. everybody must have their own definition of lucky. and to me, being lucky means that I am happy. I am lucky to be alive…
