  2. mastery is what gets the rich people going. they try to master one particular field, and when they successfully do, they are paid hardcore with it.

    but mastery is quite hard considering the short attention span of most people. most people just settle on a lot of things and are mediocre in a lot of those things.

You know that guy that gets all your cheese and then takes your milk man, and gets his milk from him and then with that milk makes more cheese and then you’re like, “dude, if you were gonna take my milkman to make cheese then why’d you have to take my cheese too?”.   17. In a pinch, we can always fake it. I mean, if you were to pretend you knew a whole fucking lot about something, you would probably come off as knowing enough to get by. It’s obviously harder in the professional world, but mastery isn’t always necessary in the real world. Yes, professional and real are different worlds. Trust me, there’s no such thing as the real world, just a bunch of childhood lies you have to be big enough to realize and leave behind.

I do not anticipate ever reaching a level of mastery over anything. Does that make me less of a person? Is mastery truly attainable? How can I find out? Master it?

  34. Mastery is a topic dear to my heart. I had to learn to master the English language for example. It was a tricky process and i’m still not nearly there. I blame my teachers for this because it could never be my fault that such a complex language wasn’t mastered by the time i was in the third grade. I also attempted to master the art of lockpicking which was another challenge. I thought it was quite interesting too. And fun. But mostly annoying and time consuming because its so fiddly.
