Do you have a perfect match? I don’t think there’s really such a thing called the “perfect match”. You just have to work hard to maintain relationships with anyone. If you’re always waiting for the perfect match of your life, you’ll probably never find it.
Ying Hui
she lit the match and held it to the candle wick. as always, she would forget to blow it out and her husband would take care of it before he went to bed.

I strike a match and watch the fire burn. How can something so beautiful hurt so much? The burn and the match…floating away together. ahhhhhhhhh.

A match is something that can be paired, or possibly played. I tend to be awesome at match games, although in matches involving tennis it is the opposite. You can light a match, fire is interesting. The concept of fire is crazy because it creates light.
Christian Filardo
we don’t match anymore. we use to be perfect together. absolutley perfect. but now were so different. we’ve changed and neither of us could stop it. we’ll find someone one day whom we match to but for now i must be on my way.

Today, I really had a match with myself. I couldn’t possibly win. Both of the things I told myself were true, but I couldn’t figure it out. Should I be selfish or go with what everyone is telling me and give up?
Shelby Rutledge
when someone have the same feelings as the other persona is is when you share the same way of thinking or living.

It’s a match made in heaven,
like banana pudding
or the perfect shoes with those jeans…
except I can’t find you in the hollow lullabies
of midnight coupled with grasshoppers
when your sun has burned me dry.
I’m crying out my sorrow
and all I feel is loss,
because they said you were perfect for me…
but they lied.
Beth
The match burned to the bottom and went out. I felt the sting of the heat touching my fingers. There would be no fire tonight.
Ando
The match burned brightly, then went out. I cursed and dropped it, putting my burnt fingertips into my mouth. Damn, that hurt! How was I going to get out of here? It was so dark.

There is nothing that won’t match another. for every single thing, there is another that matches it. There is no such thing as perfection however. We match things together to the best of our ability, and we cannot help this. It is who we are and what we do.

match> well, I like matching. matching two things together, especially people. I for one am lucky enough to have found my perfect match but also at a disadvantage to live on a different continent. it saddens me this word but also bring great joy.

A perfect match. Something that fits seamlessly together. A missing piece to a puzzle.
Everyone is looking for their perfect match. Their other half. Some will spend their entire lives in search of that piece.
Not everyone will always find it, but as long as you try, that’s all that really matters.

It was a match made in heaven, everyone said. The groom was a well-respected, wealthy, and handsome doctor who had attended the finest medical schools in the country. The bride was a beautiful, caring, and nurturing woman who would make an excellent wife and mother. Too bad their personalities were abrasively different, and their marriage would wear on endlessly, till death did them part.

It seems that you are my matchmaker. With that, my mind seems to go back in time. That song flying into my thoughts when I look at you. The simple lyrics dance around inside.
Match maker, match maker make me a match. Find me a find. Catch me a catch.
I cannot seem to lure them away from the fore front of my thoughts. The melody just floats there still.
So tell me my match maker.
Who have you for me today?
What find is in store this time?
Did you catch and ensare someone else?
But, my dear match maker. The question that I will never ask but always want to is this. Just when will you notice that you are my perfect match?
Setz
Similar and yet so very different. His hands fit so nicely on her waist and her head slid easily into the space between his neck and shoulder. When she said left, he asked why but still they felt like the perfect match.
Lisa Gray
hmm, reminds me of striking a match when I was too young to do so, and seeing the colors of the flame. Amazing to me that it included blue! Wow, blue in the yellow. Couldn’t believe it then. Informs my art now. Match equals fire equals art.
Michelle
she lights it. it is a little bit like the sun catching fire in the palm of her hands, a warm little glow that she knows to be her heart one day when she gives up. right now, she is not ready to — she would very much like to remain the moon as she is, clean and faking, borrowing the light that isn’t hers in a small attempt to share it with everybody else when the sun’s not there at night.

The careful timing: the tension hanging in air bringing another level of challenge to their competition. To win? Of course that was the goal. It was nothing to only compete, anyone could stand there on the court.

Match–Partner, equal, someone who matches you–or a game you can play a match of tennis or scrabble.

A match made in heaven. Two people so perfect for eachother that it’s like they’ve known eachother all their lives. That is all.

Matching the correct couple of instruments can light up anything, even cold space voids and milk, cylindrical thoughts in the top of your head. Scratch, please.

why do we insist on NOT matching? things would be so much easier if we realized how much we all do match. Celebrate the differences within our commonality!

A match that lights up? Or a match in which you fight in? Or a perfect match? Or matching socks? One word, so many possibilities.

I always heard “I haven’t had a match since Superman died.” I kow what it means, but I always thought it was an arrogant statement even when though it was meant in jest. Then I met Carl. He is an amazing man. I never saw Superman fly, but Carl can disappear and then reappear in seconds across the bar. He wins a lot of free beer on Saturday night. It is fun to drink with him. Then there is the bullet stopping metaphor. That rarely happens. It occurs late at night when it does. He stops them with his hand. Yes, he has that kind of eye-hand coordination.

A match made in heaven. Two people joined together under certain circumstances, whether it be intentional or merely an accident. The start of something good. Something fantastic and worthwhile, or something to teach you a lesson, good or bad.

I’ve met my perfect match. She is a wonderful woman with whom I can fully open my heart and soul. I live to make her smile and laugh. I love her love. It’s a match made in heaven.

It goes up like a flare; a small piece of wood and chemicals lights up a small sliver of the night, showing you the way, or dazzling your eyes so all you see is what you hold in your hands. It is a brilliance. It is a potential. It is a creative inspiration. It is a metaphor for passion.

Anna put the matches under her pillow and fell asleep almost immediately. In the morning, the matches were gone, replaced by sticks. After wrestling her jacket on and stuffing her head into a hat, she ran into the backyard with the sticks clutched in her gloved fists. At a safe distance from the manor, she snapped the first stick and watched as pure, liquid fire seeped out from the deceptively common-looking hollow casing.
