  1. They are very hard to work with! they might keep your hands very warm, but there is not much you can do with them on because you do not have full use of your fingers. But ehh there good for warmth!

  6. The numbness never seems to go away. I pray for warmth. As the cold seeps into my bones I’m reminded of the blue mittens that Mother would put on my hands before going out to play.

  7. I would normally wear mittens if its cold despite it looking to some fairly poncy if youre a guy. But for cold weather im happy to do it. I personally enjoy the ones that have the fingers bits to go seperate. so you can use the gloves aswell as mittens. its like a multi-functional handy hand warmer. Ideal for those little tasks like asnwering the phone or changing your ipod without having to take off the entire glove itself.

  8. Snow can wait, I forgot my mittens. The radio always played that lulling song, well, the CD player. My mom used to always load Tori Amos – Little Earthquakes, with the song winter playing. It made my heart feel warm, and sloshy inside, and maybe a little cold and bitter on the edges. Either way…the song holds dear.

  9. Mittens will dry, snow will melt.
Everything is so long yet so previsible, winter will end, and rain will go away. But mittens will stay, in the corner, in pair, lucky them. Holding each other or not..

  10. It’s cold outside, and I put on my mittens in order not to freeze my fingers off. Brrr. I step outside, and hear the crunching of the snow below my feet.

  11. mittens sounds a lot like kittens, which i love.

I love those little sounds they make when they’re eatng like ‘om nom nom nom’. My dad hates it when i make those sounds because he makes those sounds when he eats as well and we make fun of him because..

anyway i like kittens. no i love kittens

  12. The cold weather licked her ears as she trudged through the snow, more snow. But somehow it didn’t get to her. Everything wasn’t perfect, or serene. It was just what it was. And she loved every minute of it.

  13. My mittens were covered in pure white snow. Because you know how sometimes snow is sticky, like that stupid glitter my third grade teacher was obsessed with making us use on those stupid christmas cards we had to write to our mothers. But she didnt realize I always felt left out since I never had a mother…Any ways my mittens were covered in the stuff, and my hands were freezing, but we still won the snow ball fight.

  14. mittens are nice

  15. mittens are secretly the enemy. they are cute and warm and cozy and their cuteness brings you in. you trust them. and then, one day, unexpetededly, either one or both disappear. forever…its inevitable. it happens everyday to ordinary people. all im saying is watch out

  16. that stupid story with the animals living in the mitten. snowmen…i think they wear mittens sometimes. they’re kinda creepy and remind me of babys since they don’t have separate space for each finger. don’t they usually have gripped palms and fingers?

    Shawn Shuman
  17. I wear mittens in the cold weather to keep my hands warm. Warm hand are essential to keep the rest of the body warm. Especially in these winter days. The truth is, global warming is in fact a myth. Climate change, on the other hand, is very true. Every year I’ve come home to similar weather patterns, except these past few years.

  20. I was wearing these really neat mittens, but I had no kittens in view. The mittens were made of kitten, and they made me llok rather faggish. Such was the way of the world 30 years ago. Now, while homosexuality is perfectly acceptable in many, though not in all parts of the world, mittens are still considered to be rather declasse’. If Bob Cratchit wore mittens, he would not have had nearly the sympathy that readers have given him over the past one hundred and forty off years or so.

  21. Mittens are like gloves whose fingers missed eachother too much. Mittens are the epitamy of a happy hand. Every finger is forced to put up with eachother, and is rewarded with warmth and happyness.
Mittens truly make your hand a family.

    Lovely Mittens
  22. Once upon a time there was a pair of fuzzy red mittens. They were owns by a little girl named Jean. She loved those mittens because they always kept her hands warm and never let the wet in from the snow. The snow never stuck to the fuzz when she made snowballs.

  31. She couldn’t stand the thought of his cold hands. So she knitted him a pair of mittens.

“Here you go dear,” she said, handing them to him.

    He didn’t respond.

She put them on for him. “Don’t you look charming?”

    He didn’t respond.

“If you stay dead, maybe I’ll knit you a scarf to match,” she said, smiling.

    He didn’t respond.

    The mittens were red.

  34. i love wearing mittens in the snow because it makes me feel truly festive. especially when said mittens are knitted. gosh darn i could truly envelop myself in a head to toe knitted body suit, then i would really be rockin’.

  35. i pulled my mittens on over my shivering, pale fingers. the winter wind whipped my hair and shook the trees around me. i looked to the sky and watched as slowly the first snow of the year fell upon my eyelashes. lights blinked in the distance and i wondered again to myself, “why aren’t i inside with everyone else?” but i knew the answer. i was an orphan. and even on christmas day, my parents would not come to see me. my dad would not shovel snow off our walk way, and my mom would never knit me mittens to keep my hands warm in the snow. i sighed and slowly walked towards the town, singing to myself all the way. “merry christmas to me, merry christmas to me, merry christmas dear annie… merry christmas to me.”
