I don’t get to wear mittens often because I have lived in Florida my entire life. I like the idea of them though. I actually prefer mitten gloves because they are much more practical and versitile. I like to say kittens in my mind when I see the word mittens.

I was wearing mittens today. I feel in a pool of water today. The mittens were soaked and did not keep me warm. This made me sad. I dried the mittens but they smelled like gross. I threw them away.
Kate
wow man…the word is mittens.

Eat the muffin you stole from the bakery because it has poison sprinkles of it. It is said that he or she who steals a muffin gets “magical” sprinkles. Yeah, right! That stuff is dangerous! Take a bite, say goodnight, & tell the guy on the other side that “thats not right”
tip
i hate mittens i only like gloves. mittens wait are mittens the one with your thumb in one place and all the fingers in another place because i hate those so yes i think i only like gloves especially purple ones or red ones or good ones
bex
they’re nice and warm but my fingers always end up getting cold so I have to curl them up into the palm of my hand and then the mittens aren’t so useful after all. But I really like the knitted ones or the ones with pretty patterns. I can’t throw snowballs when I’m wearing them though because the snow sticks to the yarn. I need a new pair of mittens.
beccas
Mittens for kittens. Gonna tear them up for muffins. They cant taste sugar and but they don’t care, they wanna eat your muffins & they don’t share.
ribble.
ohhh mittenns i love you…not as much as glittens though…you cant give me nice finger holes and stuff…those really are nice to drive with… but you’re still nice for look for when i’m going out and just need something to keep my hands warmmm…so I guess you’re ok.
Sarah
warm, snowy day…hard to get thumb in, red knit, smell bad when wet. Speaking of wet…I can’t get them to fit right once they are wet. Today I bought mittens for Xavi, but he couldn’t get his thumbs in the right place. Mittens vs. Gloves…discuss.

maybe if i hadn’t forgotten my mittens he would still be alive

Rhymes with Kittens.
My best friend is a kitten.
The most simple love there is : Kitten Love.
As long as you promise to love and adore him,
he doesn’t question it.
He loves you right back.
Simplest love there is.
KMac.
mittens are for when its cold. i dont wear them a lot but when it’s snowing i will put them on. I shovel the snow with mittens on.
jess
mittens are cozy.
Cyann
i like to wear mittens when i am playing in the snow. it almost takes me back to childhood. makes me smile on the inside a little bit. one of the secret things we all think about every once in a while. a thing that creates a memory. a good memory.
stephanie
mittens cover your hands when its cold outside. When I think mittens i think kittens with mittens, and how the kittens in that one childhood poem lost their mittens. I think they lost they mittens at least. There was also a cake. Maybe the mother needed a mitten to cover her hand so that she could take the cake out of the oven. Things in the oven are hot and come out hot. We wouldn’t want the mother to burn her hand now would we? No! absolutely not! That would be rude! Then she would be unable the make mittens to cover her kittens hands when its could outside! Her hands would be too burned to spank her kittens for losing the mittens! Now she has to make some more mittens! The cake is in the oven and she needs to make some mittens! Mittens! Mittens for the kittens! Seven little kittens with their fourteen little mittens! Mama has cake in the oven! I hope she has a mitten to take the cake out! Otherwise her hand will be burned and she’ll pout! Keep your mittens on! don’t lose them or she’ll cry! She’ll have to make some more and our asses will die!!
Della
rhymes with kittens they are fuzzy and cute but i hate them i hate cats more of a dog person really. why are there kat and dog persons? i like being warm with dogs and mittens running out of time running out of time.
ralpho
they keep you warm in the middle of a drive. you turn the key, the ignition starts. There’s no where else to go but forward, of course, unless you must you go in reverse to go forward. But nonetheless the mittens are there for you in every step of the way. Constantly keeping you warm.
amanda
it was cold outside so my mother told me to put on my mittens; she then tucked them under my jacket sleeve cuff like she always did when I was little and going to go play out in the snow, so I didn’t get snow up my sleeves.
ELM
you where these when you are cold. they come in a ton of different colors and make people happy. especially when they are hobo style. I suggest everyone go buy a pair especially if they live in the north or are going there to ski.
julie
mittens keep your hands warm, which is good, because my hands are always cold. my mom often says they feel dead, but i always figured it was a good thing. i always figured that someday, i’d meet the right person, and he’d have warm hands. we’d balance each other out. he’d be my mittens, you know? he’d keep me safe, and keep me warm, and make me feel alive.
brittany
cool. they keep your hands warm. wait then there not cool. no texting with mittens. oh crap this is challenging. but awesome. ha. target.com. GET THEM theyre mittens slash those other ones that allow you to text?
alicia
mittens have big fat childrens sausage machines with monky agorophobia. that way, when things get heavy as fuck we can get ready to make things in the way the momma would. imagine that, eh.
ka
i put the mittens on; the last article of winter clothing before i ran out the door. it wa first snow but it was going heavy. i stuck out my toungue to catch the snowflakes. each one was different; they were right about that. i loved the feeling of a winter wonderland. it was amazing to see.
Miranda
My cat had mittens and she couldnt walk in them. She was soo funny flipping around you couldnt help but laugh. I am so glad she doesn’t have to wear them for a necessity.
Me
mittens. warm on the inside, cold on the outside. there when you need warmth, to keep your hands from the freezing cold. Mittens. Wonderful.
April
I was sledding with my sister and her friends. One of my friends was there, too. My friend and I jumped on a sled and began to glide quickly along the snow and ice. We hit a stump, and our ride stopped abruptly. It probably wouldn’t have hurt if I had been wearing thick gloves instead of thin mittens. Now the scab reminds me to wear gloves.
Janie
I’ve always enjoyed mittens. They provide extra warmth to your fingertips as well as add a simple child-like innocence to one’s outfit. They are extremely wonderful.
Kim Walter
I don’t wear mittens.
Bob
The mittens were deep in her pocket, covered by piles of tissues and wrapping paper. She shoved her finger down into the hole, her pointer finger reaching out in earnest. She could barely reach them in this hole that filled up eternity.
Amanda
she puts on her mittens, she knew she was too old for this. but just one time couldn’t hurt.
and the moment she stepped outside her apartment, she felt like a kid again. she dove into the snow, and for once, she was able to forget her troubles.
kaitlyn.
Wonderfully scruffy deliciousness makes my fingers so warm. I loovve the way they make my hands feel all snuggly and safe in the dreary holiday weather. They’re purple and pink and a little girl asked me if she could have them and I said: “Oh hell naw!” And I pushed her down.
Audrey
I put on my mittens and went for a walk in the dark. The neighborhood was bright, thanks to the white blanket of snow that reflected the glow of every light.
Olivia
my brother and dad make fun of how i say it. it reminds me of the little kids book kitttnes wearing mittens. i pictrre purple mittons. i dont like wearing them cuz all my fingers are jammed together in the same hole; i prefer gloves. well, mittens can work if you wear them at night with vasciline.

Little kids wondering the playground, looking for that one lost and lonley mitten, Mom would be so upset to hear you lost your brand new pair, but what can you say? You honestly can’t use the monkey bars with those slippery things holding your gripping hands captive.
Leah Waughtal
cats are always in picture books with mittens but i’ve never seen cats just playing with mittens. it must be something about the fact that mittens are usually made with yarn which cats are supposed to really like too but on that note i’ve never really seen a cat just sit around and play with a ball of yarn.
katie
I pulled the mittens on over my hands as I walked out the door, staring up at the cloudy sky. Big white flakes drifted down, catching in breezes and twirling around my head. They were wet when they hit my nose.
So this was winter – cold and wet with visible breath and the necessity of extra garments.
Rachael
Warm And Fuzzy the only thing that keeps your hands warm, and dosn’t allow you to eat cupcakes. Little kids, bundled up and wrapped in coats, always topped off by the bright pink mittens, constantly falling off, and getting forgotten.
Leah Waughta;
My hands were freezing as I wandered the busy streets begging for cash. I simply wished that someone would be kind enough to give me some change so I could buy food. A lady with long grey hair walked up and smiled handing me a pair of woolen mittens and warming not only my hands but also my heart which had had harbored little hope before this incident.
Bee
mittens bother me! :/ i hate not having the use of all of my fingers. i used to get so angry with them when i was younger. i guess if nothing else, they put some things in perspective for people who are used to having the use of all of their fingers lol.
