  1. modern art is beautiful but it needs alot of interpretation. It can easily look like just a bunch of squiggles or shapes, but if you stand back and look at it while squinting, you can begin to see the inspiration. Modern art museums, such as the MOMA in new york are fun places to visit. They feature a lot of modern culture and have really cool things in the gift shop.

  3. No body has really defined what modern art is. Basically,you could vomit on a canvas and voiola…it’s modern art. Or, you could take some cat hangers and shape them into the face of Ronald Regan and that would be modern art. Nothing that fits and previous styles or has a style of its own. Thats modern. The Akita Museum of Modern art was boring.

  27. I think modern is a funny word, especially when we use it in the names of things. Modern US History, Modern Furniture. Twenty years from now, we’ll be the Modern of grandmas. We’ll be the flower power of the 50s. It the dictionary, it means new. But really it’s all a cycle. And five hundred years from now, flower power will blossom once again.

  37. I don’t know why I have to use this stupid thing. I actually prefer to write by hand but it seems like society, and really myself, forces new tech down my throat every day. I like the smell of ink as it flows out of a pen. There is something about it that smells like knowledge. Like the mustyness of old books.
