  1. What would be a good thing to make a montage out of? A monage of life? A montage of dreams? Or maybe fear?

    Briana
  2. Slapping on the final piece, Rebecca’s pretty face caught in sunlight, Jeremy handed in his montage of things he loves. He couldn’t wait until she saw it. The moment her eyes lit up would be the moment he asked her to go steady with him. He loved her so much, his heart ached.

    Emily Woods
  3. i don’t know what this word means but i guess it’s ok. i like the sound of it anyway, and i like how in french it would almost by my age… arghhh running out of time!! HELP! omg, a cat just came up to my window

  4. Difficult one, this. I think I confuse it with collage – montage is the same but with music? Is that it? I’ll have to make a dash for the dictionary when this minute is up – I’m obviously wittering about something I know nothing about!

    Joey
  5. We have thirty days to put together the best collection of short clips and pictures of pop music and all you have is thirty consecutive pictures of michael jackson grabbing his crotch set to turning japanese.

    John
  6. Montage doesn’t bring up a lot of thoughts or anything. I mostly think of eighties movies, or rather of Buffy musical episode when Buffy worries about there being a training montage and Giles says “if we hear any power chords we’ll lie down until they go away” or something. It’s a funny episode.

  7. I went through to the inner sanctumn- litltle light shone in the inner fastness of irene the bon viveur super artist – selling for millions in fashionable metropolitan streets – she sat near the curtain – i was shocked thow she appeared to meld with the fabric as though sinking into the medium she so long called her own

  8. What is a montage?? I think its one of those slideshows or something thats put to music to showw all the happy moments in a persons life. like maybe when you die and ur life flashes before your eyes.

  9. I had a montage of photos. It became an obsession. I collected them from all over the world. Everywhere I went, I would look for a stray photo that I could add to my collection. I now have thousands of photos from every place I’ve been to. I like to travel and it’s a way I can keep track of my trips.

  10. a montage is something that is a symbol of something else. It’s fifties or earlier, and it’s pretty useless, mostly decorative, and sometimes is over-rated and overuesed. But, like all useless things, there are some beautiful things abou tmontages. Right? Useless does not mean ugly.

  11. He was many things, but rarely was he called decisive. People are often viewed as a collection of different personas that they use in different settings. But Roger didn’t really have that many sides to his so called self, he was more or less always taciturn and withdrawn. Never one to be the center of attention, and if he was he’d shy away as soon as he was able.

  12. a bunch of random pictures put together to represent a particular time, event, or situation in someone’s life. Usually played to music. Always when reality tv shows come to an end!

  13. Montage. Montage of scenes. We do a lot improv class. I have that tonight, actually. I’m not very good at improv though. I’m too shy. Too nervous. Too weird. Oh well, I try at least, Some people don’t even do that much. Many people as shy as I would never dream of even taking an improv class.

  14. Guy Montage, the temperature at which books burn, Fahrenheit 451…
As television get larger, Fox News gets more viewers, and our brains get smaller..
The reality in which you exist will soon be ours,
and I will gladly share a place with you on the rail link fence…

  17. “This is so stupid,” I whispered to him while still staring at the screen. “Yeah, these photo montages are lame.” I nodded my head, but he was still looking up too. Friendships couldn’t be summed up in a myriad of pictures and some catchy but stupid mainstream music. It was deeper than that. It was an emotional bond that only those two people could feel. It couldn’t even be described. And no one else could understand it, which is what made it so special. He didn’t have to say a word because I knew he felt the same way.

  18. two best friends dancing in a kitchen holding spoons singing to aretha franklin.

  19. i dont even really know what a montage is. but it looks like an interesting word. i guess i should look it up in the dictionary and find out what it means. montage reminds me of the word mortgage cause it looks just like it. we talked about mortgages once in history because of the recent recession.

  24. A group of pictures with a common theme. Maybe the theme isn’t as obvious as we’d like to think. Maybe because of someone’s unique schema, the connections are personal. As personal as one’s fingerprints. Or someone’s heart.

  25. the video montage was the perfect tribute to a movie legend.

    cory
  26. Sometimes words hit me. They pound my head over and over again in rapid fire. It’s like when you see a movie and they show a montage of the happy couple. This time though it’s words like safe, free, happy and then they speed up to tense, depressed, obsessed. Now the words stop and it is only lonely. Sometimes I wish these words you make me feel didn’t come at all. Like I could press pause and the movie montage of words would pause and then I could press rewind and go back to the happier words.

  27. time passing. citizen cane

    heather
  28. Shirts, socks, sandals, and shorts were strewn across her bed; a montage of the weekend getaway.

  31. A montage is a collection of things to celebrate something. if there was a montage to my life, I’m not sure what it would include. Probably some unflattering photos (the only kind that are taken of me), an audio tape of my hiccups and my cackle-laugh, and maybe some delicious jelly beans.

  32. Stop giving me this word I have nothing to write about. I’m a dumbass and don’t even know what it means. Google help me.

    natalie
  33. Rocky. The only way to get fit is through a montage, that’s what I have learned from rocky. I will be the heavyweight champion of the world, if I can make my own video montage to music. The end.

    Robert McHugh
  34. i found it so i wasn’t far off with my ranting. I like mishmash, and hodgepodge and jumble. To make all of this make sense someday is a scheme I am looking forward to with all of you. Thanks for the ride, and I’ll get the hang of it and make better sentences someday, if I try.

  35. Montage…hmmm…this is my first “one word” – and I hardly have any thought about it! A montage…a collection of things (oh there has to be a better word than THINGS!) put together in a creative way for the sake for viewing…like photos. I love a photo montage!

    czechconnie
  36. The memories collide in my brain. Everything spiralling to a singular point. Moving slowly, but faster than I can possibly focus. A montage of remembrances of our time together over these last years. I can feel it pulling away at warp speed. Too soon. Too soon.

    Ann Marie
  37. Varied mix, different things crumbed up together, layers of meaning, depending on the viewer. Things that would not normally go together but somehow look great together now. 39. I always wanted some parts of my life to flash by as a montage. It would be infinitely better than having to actually live through them. Think of it as the solution for those of us with incredibly short attention spans.

  40. It was not always this way. Before the accident, my life was one big timeline. Since then I spend most of my time reconstructing the past 15 years. Sometimes the past 15 minutes.
