  1. movies are cool ,but reallly boring to watch alone.I like watching chick flicks when im happy, not sad,as romantic comedies make me feel even more depressed. Most of all,I love horror movies,or movies with some angle to them, thriller types.

I hate moviews with beeps-as in censored words. What the point?

  2. without it, there’s no actors.

  3. a lot of people say that its just the movies. but i think that life itself is stranger than fiction and whatever they portray in the silver screen. you’re the star of your own show.

  4. My favorite movie lately has been Flushed Away. It is a cute film but the greatest part about it is the singing slugs. I laughed SO hard during this movie that I actually was crying. I can’t wait to buy it on DVD. My ex-boyfriend even searched the internet to find me a little stuffed animal singing slug. It is on my desk right now.

  7. i never saw a movie i liked that didn’t make me cry. not one. every movie that i loved dearly makes me cry at some point. some may laugh at this, but my answer to them, when they ask about why i get so emotional, is, “why watch a movie if you’re not going to get into it?” and that’s how it is. if you’re not going to feel it, if you’re not going to live it, believe it, let it tear at you, why are you watching?

  8. i like to go to the movies. the sweetest movie in a long time is coming out this week. it’s transformers revenge of the fallen. i can’t wait to see it. hopefully it’s good. I love the movies and always love going to the theatre.

  9. I’ve loved to watch movies ever since I was a little kid and I think part of the reason why I started watching such epic long films when I was really young was because of the drama of them, and the sweeping historical beauty of the whole thing, so Gone With The Wind is my favorite movie and always has been. I had a tendency to watch that movie twice a day at one point when I was about four years old, which might seem odd for a little kid but it made sense to me at the time.

  10. oh man, I love love love movies. they are soooo good. some people think there are specific standards for “good” movies. this just isn’t so. there’s no way to accurately judge creative expression, so there is no way to acccurately judge what a good film is.

    Fredrick Maxwell
  11. The movies are an excellent place to meet friends. I like horror movies. I wathch them with my sister. I also like the video game the movies. Movies are expressions of who we are as opposed to who we will be.

  14. i like to watch movies because they take me away from reality which is very harsh. i like the beauty and glamour of movies also. the stars are beautiful and have no money problems….that’s a good life or is it?

  16. I noticed the ripple of laughter in the movie theater before the noise reached my ears. Tiny, almost imperceptible shadows of movement in the corner of my eyes.

  17. Movies are such astounding things. Just pop one in, and you’re lost in a magical world, full of wonder and excitement, or a gritty murder mystery, or a suspenseful thriller. Movies are incredibly important to our development as people, what would we do without them?

    Austin Moore
  18. Movie. Moving pictures. Funny, sad, bad, scary. Life in an hour and a half. Simple. Complicated. Dreams. Heartbreaks. Everything one wants and doesn’t want out of life rolled into a short amount of time.

    Daphne Cloutier
  19. take me away. I would love to see someone else’s life for a change of pace. Gain a new view point on life. The more you see, the more you know. Ignorance kills.

    Tyler Scott
  20. Movies take up alot of time in peoples life, mainly wasted on dates, and lonely nights, but i think movies are more then that they are the portal into the world most people had when they were young in there dreams. Enjoy it well you still can.

    Jaron Riddick
  21. The Unborn was the most ridiculous movie I’ve ever seen. Jumbi?! Are you serious? Wow, the only good part was her sexy boy friend. I think he died though…any way, wow I don’t recommend that.

  22. They entered the theatre and he nervously walked up to the counter.

“Two for the eight o’clock showing of…”

“Here you go…” the lady cut him off. “There is only one thing showing at eight. To the right. Theatre two…”

“One of only two theatres in this God forsaken place…” she muttered under her breath.

He took the tickets and his date cautiously rejoined him and they moved toward the theatre.

They sat down in the vacant room and awkwardly watched as the previews began.

He attempted to put his arm around her in the sly “I am gonna yawn and stretch” way…

Unfortunately he knocked over the coke she had brought into the theatre in her purse.

She relieved herself to the restroom. “I’ll be right back…” she promised hesitantly…

When the movie was over, he got up and walked three miles home.

  23. One time we went to see a movie. And guess what? The movie sucked. It was this weird movie about aliens and they ate brains and something. Or maybe it was zombies. Either way, we had to sneak out of the movie, since it sucked so much. And then my friend threw up because they weren’t used to seeing so much gore, since it was a gory movie.

  24. something you watch on a screen with a video going and a project and people throwing popcorn at eachother …or having sex.

  25. movies are where dreams are born and nurtured. I was five when I first when to the movies and understood. Watching that young woman be courted.

  27. I sit awkwardly with him next to me, and I can tell neither of us are watching the movie. I’ve never had a boyfriend, so I’m not used to this kinda stuff. Is he gonna stretch, then put his arm around me like they do on tv? My friend had this whole idea that a bunch of us could go to the movies today, but everyone bailed, including her, leaving me and my crush sitting awkwardly, seeing but not watching the movie that is playing on the screen. He suddenly leans over me and whispers “Do you know whats going on? I haven’t been paying attention.” Oh my gosh, I can feel his breath on my neck. “Uh no, I haven’t really been watching either.” I say. And suddenly we both smile an all knowing smile, and before I know it we are kissing, just like what is coincidentally happening in the movie. What a great first kiss.

  28. Even as I watch movies, I feel as if it is a degradation of the arts; removing imagination and tact from the man. I feel for something to be art you should have to work to understand it, to comprehend it. I feel all too often movies just hand it to you on a platter, removing all depth and pleasure instantaneously.

    Samuel Shields
  29. movies movies movies movies LA LA LA LA LA A LA

  31. I’ve always thought my life was like a movie. I watched my own life unravel though the perspective of an audience member. It was only too late to realize that I was the director, not a spectator to my own existence.

    geigz
  32. That’s what it was, a corny, cheesy line from a movie that i probably never watched. Just another movie scene, just another practical excuse. It was strange, but it was enough. it was enough to win my heart.

    lindsey <3
  33. The screen exploded under the pressure of images, vicious things that forced the audience into reaction: How could this happen? Right there under their nose and not in some far away country where it could be safely ignored? Oh wait. This was just a movie.

    Nathalie (Spacedlaw)
  34. Light. Inhale.
    Life becomes a movie.
You are not there you are meerly watching it through your screen like eyes.
You glide through barely paying attention to anything yet emersed in everything.
    It is nice. And strange.
    Seeing life like a movie.

  35. Oh the awkwardness of the movie theater, the darkness, his body, warm in the seat next to mine. Should I reach out to him..? But shyness stays my hand, as we shift in our seats, each waiting for the other, and the wait stretches on…

    Shadefall
  36. A movie of my life? Well, now I would like Angelina to play me as some kind of kick ass expat, charging through life, kicking soccer moms out of my way. Driving through the streets of Qatar like she does in Wanted…

Oh wait, I do that already :)

    mellie
  37. I work at a movie theater, actually. I love movies. They’re great escapes, and you can find one you want to watch whenever. I watch them all the time. There’s a movie for every mood. Even bad movies can be fun to watch. Really, a movie has to be completely boring to not enjoy it, because the shittiest movies can be awesomely shitty. Go watch Drag Me To Hell if you don’t believe me.

  38. i like sitting around with him and watching a movie. and by that, i don’t mean i try to watch a movie while he has his hands up my shirt. i don’t mean that at all but he doesn’t seem to get that. i like to watch a movie and discuss it with him afterwards, but it’s hard to talk with his tongue in my mouth. it’s hard to talk and to think when he’s got his teeth in my neck.

  39. The scene plays out like it always does, and I submit to my quiet defeat. The repetition of moments, held together by the people they encapsulate, is the essence of life, and to do anything but submit is to deny yourself the experience.

  40. i am not in a movie – other people love to be. very nice – saw it. No I did not see that or him actually. What about reality? No, I did not like that movie. Well don’t be foolish.
