  2. there once was a myth about narcissus and how he was very vain. i read about this myth in my childrens lit class and it made me think baout how people back then believed these myths and how we read bible stories now and believe them. who’s to say they won’t be viewed as myths in the future? we are very ignorant.

  7. Myth. What is it? Far from the truth. I find it amusing that the two words both end in “th”. A little similarity but two opposite meanings. A myth to me represents something being false. Truth is true. Enough said.

  8. I was in love with her. She was the light in my dreary existence and I knew that in time I could be happy. I could get over this stupid depression that clouded my life like a great cloud. But I awoke and it was all a myth……

  9. myths are stories that are untrue. they are sometimes made to scare people, but other times are just mixed up versions of the truth. myths can be far-fetched or may have some ring of truth to them. very often people believe myths over truths.

  10. I was a god once. Many people talked about me. At that point in time I felt quite important and revered. But now that things have settled down and those that believed in me have settled I’ve become only a myth.

  11. the trouble with the myth is it’s valhalla is an unknown place and one where we must die to enter, we must slay as well as be slain, but i guess that’s that’s just a bunch of norse feathers.

  15. i dont know this to be fact i just like hearing stories told to me. There was a man with winged shoes in one myth. Another with wings who flew too close to the sun and his wings melted. Theres also a myth of a winged horse, i guess i just think of wings when i think of myth.

  16. A myth is something you hear about and you’d like to believe it’s real, even though you know it probably never happened, or ever even could happen. They remind me of Greek gods and goddesses on horses with wings and magic and hobbits and wonderful things that I’d always daydream about.

  18. Love is no myth. I used to think that it was just a construct put in place to serve familial purposes – to ensure that people stuck together. And then I met her. And now i see what it is. I feel how i imagine my parents feel. Believing in a myth – even if its veracity is supported – is never easy, and always painful. Maybe that’s why I always saw it as a myth. I knew it would be so difficult and tried to shield myself. It didn’t work.

  19. i hate myths. they remind me of people who don’t like to tell the truth about their boring lives. they like to make things up and sound all grandiose and cool and shit.

if your life is not an adventure a minute, it’s ok. you’re normal – everyon’s leading a boring life. so don’t lie.

  20. a myth is something to keep us from looking into what we want. I wish a myth was made about me. i want to be a myth so others can stay away from me and no what a hazard i am. I want to scare people away to hold true to who i am. The myth of me will be told to children of all ages to scare them from becoming like me.

  24. there are many myths. Roman, Greek, Norse but the most important myth is the myth that you cultivate about yourself. Who are you really? ARe hyou the person you show to everyone or the person you are when you are on your own? The power of myth is something that is very strong, very compelling.

  25. It was once a myth, but had transformed into reality. His arm drifted slowly off hers. It wasn’t even clamy, which would be one legitimate excuse. His gaze was fixed on the glowing square in the living room. Her knees hurt.

  28. It’s so incredible to just find yourself in the mystery of life, not having had anything to come across. I want to fly so incredibly tough through your clouds and feel your breath as wind in my face. Is it true? is it truth? What is truth? Where are we? Who am I?

  31. Myths are absoltuly ridiculous stories that christians don’t believe in. Personally, however, I quite like the little word. Makes me smile inside to know that some poeple REALLY like making things up… and even better to know that when children go to sleep at night, they have something to believe in aside from Jesus.

    Shanny Cusp
