  14. i loved greek myths as a child. i knew exactly where they were at the library and would read them over and over. I still can remember what the covers looked liked- 40 years later.

  16. Are there any myths associated with orchids? Why are mythology classes never fun (or so I hear)? Norse mythologoy was fun for me in 4th grade, in Waldorf School. I loved learning about the wise and powerful Odin, the angry god of thunder, Thor, and the half-god of mischief, Loki.

    That story about the monster of East Street… That one which described it as ferocious, terrible and man-eating. I knew it was silly, but I was terribly scared.

    That story was meant for little kids, right? Not me…

  19. it was a myth that the gods loved the humans, she thought wryly. Sure, they’d take them for amusement, some even may have felt some affection, but love is too human, too vulnerable for a god to feel. Maybe that’s his problem too.

Over the ages, dragons have been forced to retreat into their most ancient and sacred lands, away from the hustle and bustle of human cities. Although strong and highly magical creatures, the relative small number of dragons are no match for the populous human beings. To protect themselves from the increasingly selfish humans, the dragon elders made the fateful decision eons ago to cut all ties with the mortal worlds and live in recluse deep in their magical caves.

  22. myth;s are legends. Things that have no proof or evidence but are still considered true by some people. You can choose to belive or not to belive the myth. A myth is something that cannot be explained or cannot be proven at any time.

  34. ITS A Myth about women hating football, loving chocolate and always shopping, its also a myth that men cant multi task and its a bigger myth again that men cant cook. Look at our top chefs how may of them are women.
    Its true however that women waffle and change their minds alot, as im not sure the above is true :)

  37. In Greece many of the people believe in the myths and mystics of numerous gods. The ‘head’ of the gods is Zues. Zues could throw lightning bolts and many of the other gods feared him. His brother was Hades. He was the god of the dead. The people who died would cross the river and be put in pergatory with Hades.
