  4. My neck happens to be rather long, But his is short and thick, muscly, covered with a couple rather harsh looking scars from all his futile attempts at shaving when he was a wee little middle schooler. That time when I would laugh in his face when he said I took up 15% of his heart. The time I would cry when he did not ask but state that I was adopted no matter how many times I told him he was wrong. For he is never wrong. At least, in his mind he isn’t. And I am never right.
Except for when his lips graze my neck and I have proved him wrong.
For I take up more than 15% of his heart. And my parents did not adopt me.
But I am an in vitro baby so I guess we both got it only sort of right.

  5. I glanced in the mirror as I was dressing, everything looked normal, felt normal except for one small change. There was a slowly fading mark that resembled teeth in the curve of my neck. 11. Her neck was adorned with jewels the colour of bruises. Purple gems behind a cast of white light; stark against the blondness of her hair.

She married a man when she was twenty, and he stitched stories about love and knights from the soil she walked on. It flourished in her heart, seeds planted with the intent to woo; she was left with sorrow, and the numb flesh beneath the handprint on her soul – on her cheek.

  32. My neck is the worst. Even i sleep on it funny it’ll be a horrible experience the rest of the day. But sometimes I wishy head could expand, you know, like a giraffe, and be able to see everything around me. Then maybe my nexk wouldn’t be so bad, until that is, I hafta find somewhere to rest it. Then maybe it’ll be a pain all over again.

Imagine, if a blazing meteor shot through the sky and the whole of humanity turned to look, we’d all have to rotate our whole bodies, and that could lead to a lot of nasty bumps.
