I think the problem was him.

I don’t know. I think it was just I made him the offer. No threat, no cracking of the knuckles, no shiny wristwatch. It’s not like those mob guys are so good at rhetoric.

Maybe you should make it to someone else.

  21. He said he had something to offer me.
    OFFER

I had opened my hand. He smiled as he always did when I got something wrong on my own; the type of smile that was like a father’s, like a brother’s, like a best friend’s. He put out his hand on gently closed my open palm.

He looked me dead in the eye, then looked off into the horizon. “I give you the day… I give you the earth… to do as you will with it.”

My spirit soaked up the moment as my eyes soaked in the sight of the new dawn’s sun. My mind wandered as it wondered the infinite possibilities of all that was and could be in this new day and the ones to follow.

This day seemed newer than the rest that had came and went before. Supercharged with Ions as it sat aligned in harmony with the center of the galaxy that had given birth to our lives, our physical manifestations to share an individual identity with the singular possession of the ego of self among the greater of the whole — friends, family, and strangers alike.

They had said something would happen this day, December 21st 2012. But if you didn’t look for it with in the smallest of a fraction of a second you would’ve missed it. People who are stuck in a cubicle worrying of trivial things let this divine gift slip by unnoticed. Though it’ll be there again tommorow and the days to follow. It always has been, since the begining of time. When our ancestors first looked to the heavens and had the feeling of something more to the grand scheme of things. Custodians of time and of nature and interpretors of the divine, observers of beauty, creators of love, not just witnesses to the universe – but participants in the greatest experiment of all time – LIFE – We will once again be OFFERED the key. One must just be able to quiet there minds to receive it. to become masters of it all. After the trial has ended the pure will gain freedom.

    To be offered the Divine.
