  2. A creative one, something that you just turn the tap, turn it open, and let flow. Like these words, flowing out of my mind. The novel should be like that, but the water is spluttering out a little at the moment. All I need to do is to open the tap fully, completely open, and the words will come, and the story will fill up.

  3. Writing as a outlet is very therapeutic. So is shopping at an outlet, but one can possibly make you money, while the other will probably just cost you money and make you bring home more crap to clog up your house. My dogs used to love to be let out.

  4. shopping malls with outside sidewalks and deals that don’t really exist because it’s not really a factory outlet at all, is it? It’s a strip mall. Where’s the factory? They think we’re idiots. The outlets are crowded. We are idiots. Thank you for providing me with an outlet for my indignation.

  11. a means of release (for frustrations, usually). A method for not killing your husband when you really really want to. Also its a term for the end of an electrical connection such as a socket. Someplace you contemplate sticking your husband’s finger when he makes you angry. Just thinking about it is an outlet for my frustrations and keeps me from doing it.

  14. Danish Apples were for sale that day at the outlet mall so Wendy and I dragged ourselves out of bed and made it out before 11am. I should have thought to pick up that vase at the shop after all because there were the most lovely flowers for sale.

  15. my outlet is writing. i use my writing to say how i feel, what i think, and what i believe. writing is that last freedom my gov’t will take from me. when all i have lest is my pen and paper, they will lock me in a cage, and take my pen and paper… then i will write on the wall with my blood.

  18. Outlet. Now I can buy anything I want with my pocket money because there is outlet! Now I can buy an endless amount of food and clothes at H&M because there is outlet! But I have to find something nice…. not something I don’t like.

  21. I thank you for this outlet in which I pour my thoughts and worries, my concerns and my gratitude, my sorrows and my hopes. I thank you, my friends (the rare old ones and the even rarer new ones) for listening to all I have to say. And I thank you, silence, for allowing me to talk to myself and make new revelations and to learn to accept them.

  24. Everybody needs an outlet. Any kind of outlet, somethign to focus on to drop the habit of overthinking the minutiae of everyday life.

Power outlets are sometimes sufficientfor a good outlet, fixing them does take a while! But I mean more like plugging in an amp!

  27. She looks deep into the hollows of his cheeks, where his tongue pokes nervously, back and forth, back and forth. He’s flushed, a little, but in a masculine, boneheaded way. It’s complicated, they both know. They want it to be as simple as it looks. But she can’t control the dampness between her thighs, and he can’t control the shyness of his smile.

  28. The outlet for his pain was never enough, because the electricity generated by his anger was too much for it to hold. It was small, and the only safe measure to let out all of that pent up frustration that he had felt so long

Everyone has an outlet, they told him. His outlet was violence, punching and slapping the skin of his victims. That was his, why was it so unaccepted?

  33. The outlet malls by my house are packed with vans full of tourists and army men on leave. Why people vacation in a place that smells like garlic and is always way too hot from the heat bouncing off the pavement is beyond me.
