  21. I was sitting alone when I saw the most beautiful girl at the overhead stairway in the train station. Looking out towards the window, I contemplated whether or not I should follow her. I swear, I’ve never felt so inclined to be a stalker before. In any case, the thrill of it got to my head and I knew that I’d miss a chance of a lifetime if I let her walk away. As I stood up, I noticed she was walking away. I hurried up the spiral stairway as fast as my feet would let me, but low and behold the entire second floor was completely empty.

  23. jonathan went outside after the confrontation with his father and sat down on a small chair in his yard.
    he lit up a smoke to help clear his mind and think.
    overhead, he saw a large crow cawing at him. he observed it at it stared back with its head cocked sideways. the crow reminded him of himself and how his life was before he had come back home, the place that always had upset him; that had always bred the most painful conflict and upset in his life.

  26. To sum up what I saw flying overhead would be a sheer impossibility, because it was a shape with a shape; it was a formless non-living (or was it?) thing that defied nature, logic and the very basis of the universe. I also knew that it would be my death.
