  1. The palm of my hand is very wrinkly. I can see all kinds of lines going through it. I think one of them is called your heart line. It’s supposed to tell you how long you live. I was always freaked out, because mine, compared to everyone else’s, was always rather short. However, I think I’ve gotten over superstition. I do think I’ll have a short life, but I’ve come to terms with it.

I had not told him of my struggles…

    “I Love you too.”

    The words escaped my mouth…

…and I knew they were true.

  37. Lines as waves that your fingers surf over. The creases between the skin, and the patterns of youth, love and fortune trace over like an Irish knot. All of the sensory neurons just adore your skin cells, when you brush your hand over mine. They gather, they sting, they squeal with excitement and I say “Hush, hush, now. Hush, hush”. But they do it anyway. Your touch is like the feel of electricty, traveling through my spine and sending out messages throughout my body on how to react, they never get here fast enough. Now I know what he ment when he said “The two sides of my brain need to have a meeting”. The two sides of my brain need to have a meeting, yeah. Your fingers lace up in mind, and our palms kiss.
