  11. the path diverged in a narrow wood –
    ..no, no.
i refuse to make this into a botch-up of Frost’s poem.
    ..
the path led to a castle instead.
it’s drawbridge was down, the moat long empty, the shrubbery overgrown, the king and queen dead.
remnants of the castles golden days hung on the walls, in the form of intricate tapestries –
    but it didn’t really matter.
    no one visited anymore.
    life had left the palace,
    never to return.

  20. The path is what we all strive for. A path is what we all have, though we do not see it, we feel it. A path can mean many things, to some it is a goal. To others it is the grudging movement of life. To me it is what I long for, yet wish to expel. A path creates somewhat peace, though a path only limits you to its borders.

  24. The path in life is not always easy… there are hard paths, easy paths, and every day paths… you have to take each as if they are your last because you never DO know when you will reach the end. You have to have a path in life in order to know exactly what you want, if you follow that path you will surely succeed. Paths are important…

  31. I looked at the path ahead of me. It was long. I could tell that already. I just wan’t sure if it was the right decision. I still don’t know if it was. Either way, I took it. The path was shorter than I had expected, althought it still took weeks to follow. As I went, I had a contentment that one gets from having a purpose, at least for awhile. I didn’t think about what I would do next. I did not reminince of my past mistakes or good decisions. I simply was. I loooked all around me- at the beauty of everything. I walked, I listened, I thought about myself.

    Grace
  32. The path of least resistance is the one that all too many take. The road less travelled is the road less travelled for a reason. It may not be a bed or roses down there. A troublesome path may reap big rewards.

    Bob Stewart
  33. The path diverges into myriad roads. And yet, you can’t quite decide which one to take. To take one is to sign an unbreakable contract, to not take one is to hover on a void of nothingness for as long as long extends.

Sometimes, choices are more hindering than useful.

Simplicity beckons, calls, holds out its welcoming arms. But it fades away — an illusion, nothing more — to complexity, which is all but glaring daggers at you, coaxing shivers from your every hapless fiber of your very being. Nonetheless, you make your decision. You step onto one path and continue on.

But you get the sinking feeling that, someday, you’ll regret. Deeply, horrifically, terribly.

There’s eloquence in torment, after all.
