patience is a virtue. is it really? what does patience get you but a million wasted opportunities because you sit around and wait. for others to do their job when you could be. when you could write a million different books all on your own, why wait for someone else to make your experience?

To have patience is a virtue, but to be impatient is a curse.

patience is a virtue, or so they say. I had a bong named patience once. It gave me some. It didn’t last. damn you patience.
When guests come over and stay a long time….patience.
When the boys are climbing the couch….patience.
When I read the news media…..NO PATIENCE!!!

claire,
What is a day if not filled with excitement? Life is not a line; our existence does not pivot around one frosted moment of happiness. We are not meant to wait, we are not meant to have patience. We sit here, bored and uninspired, twiddling our thumbs to the clock and we cannot break free.
It’s hard to have patience with them, because nothing I can do or say can make them understand. They only grow impatient with /me/, annoyed and bitter at my insistence. But what they’re missing is a piece of me. How else can I impress the importance of it upon them?
Patience. It’s a virtue that I sorely lack when it comes to people who very likely don’t deserve it. However, the patience that is kindled in me every time I enter the station of caregiver to a baby is beyond compare. I am the ultimate saint. Patient, kind, loving. When I see that beautiful face, angelic in its innocence, there is nothing more important in the world to me.
Patience is a virtue of which I have none. That’s what I used to say when people would tell me to have patience. Then for a while I got more patient – then my mom left, life fell apart, I got impatient. Now it all depends on who I’m with. I don’t know if I’m patient or not. I try to be, maybe? I don’t know. Patience is a virtue.

I am as patient as a flower.
I sit here alone in the green sky
breathing
simply breathing,
dreaming of water.
pactience for many people is hard to obtain. some want it, some wish they didnt have it. it our world it would help in many cases. less road rage and just a happier place. we need to develop the pactience we have lost and take this world out of fast foward

I am not one with a lot of patience. I like things to be ready when I need them. I don’t like to wait and I don’t like to do things that are tedious and take a lot of work. You can say I’m lazy. I can be hardworking though. But I will never be patient.
There is something to be said about a mother.
She is patient and kind and always puts up with her children.
She deals with her husband and job and still cooks dinner every night.
But she is hiding something.
I can’t wait.
I can’t wait to finish high school, to get a job, to get married, to retire, to eventually… well, die, I guess. But everything just leads into something else. College may not be my nirvana, so I won’t be able to wait until my career. I need to slow down. And just live.
Is a calming moment, and trust in another. Making space for some who matters. A virtue of the highest regard, that we may hopefully aspire to and some day reach. The wisdom of monks and rabbis.
The Poet (Jackie)
The teacher’s ruler came down hard on her hand, and Elle pulled it back instantly.
“You must learn to be patient, Miss Longvell.”
Madeleine
She had unlimited patience with the children. It took everything she had ever stored up for the grown-ups as well. She turned away from them then. Anyone taller than her chin suffered her trembling wrath.
Nancy O'Neill
its a virtue. but what does that mean? can virtues be learned. i can be patient. but when is being patient being lazy or lacking initiative. when is it time to say fuck patience and take things into our own hands. patience can’t be an excuse.
tapping fingers,
tapping toes,
tapping a pencil on the edge of your desk,
sighing
sighing again
sighing again, loudly.
patience, dear one.
your time will come…
Patience. I am starting to lose my patience with myself. I mean, I feel like my own subconscious is planning to wreck my life in a number of ways. I have no confidence and I just… can’t think anymore. but I SHOULD be able to. dammit.
The Holy Spirit shows Itself through patience, when patience is displayed, heads turn, questions are asked, even if never voiced. All Christians should show patience. Do you?

it’s a virtue… one that i seem to lack. unfortunate really.

is a virtue. And kind of a silly name for a girl. Hope, I get a little. Chance, not so much. And don’t get me started on Purity, although I don’t really know if anyone names their kid that, but anyway. I understand the reasoning behind it, but some words are justnot meant to be names. Like, um… oh! Charity, and *insert list of others I haven’t thought of*. I mean, what if the kid didn’t end up embodying the quality he or she was named after? What if she was like, “Well, screw that, I’ll be as impatient as possible.” Or something.
I happen to like my name, FYI.
Patience is what you have with 4 children at home. Sometimes you just have to breathe!

He sat there, his eyes closed under the silk blindfold that used to be his tie. He was achingly hard, but still he waited, knowing his boyfriend was in the next room, preparing for him, making him wait. He would be patient. He had to. He wouldn’t beg.
Patience was a bitch, a selfish little brat who bit at your nerves until you literally wanted to kick her in her godforsaken ass. Prudence knew it first hand, and had dealt with her sister’s shenanigans her entire life.
There is none. I never expierence patience from others. They are always in a rush to leave or a rush to live. Never having the patience to just relax and be.

The child twitched a bit, excited and anxious to get the treat.
“But grandfather, you promised me an ice cream cone.”
“Aye, child. I did. But not before the oath.”

wish everyone would learn how to be patient. Slow down and Smell the coffee.
i sometimes have a hard time exercising patience. i get frustrated easily and it is something i am trying to work on
something required to fulfill life’s wishes. & you will not regret a moment, being patient.
we waited with patience ouide the hospital room we were not allowed in…
bewildered, but beautful, my sister delivered my tiny nephew into the world
