  25. pause is a pretty cool word. it’s not as bad as “stop”! pause…it sounds quite nice, actually! some people may not want to hear this word, but it can be helpful.

  32. If you take a second and pause you can really understand the true meanings of life. I have taken a second to pause this summer and realize that family and close friends are really all that matter. Yes meeting new people and spending quality time with them is great, but you shouldnt fret over losing old friends that have decided to move on. It is also great to pause and get to know yourself where you are right now.

  37. I paused at the computer. Did I really just see that, or was it my imagination. I could have sworn there was a flicker of something across the screen. Perhaps my imagination, I had just watched three horror movies back to back, but despite being sure it was my imagination, I still did not havet he courage to turn around. Maybe it was just an ad flickering on the page that disappeared? Maybe a bird at the window…in a thunderstorm. Probably not the bird then.

  40. I think of the pause that means a comma – a pause in speech, a pause in writing…the breath that it takes between two words. It means a dash between two words…it can be intense or calm.
