  1. She was worried all the time. It didn’t matter what was actually happening, it was always going wrong. Even in the best of times, things were turning sour. And she knew that she did this to herself, but didn’t know how to stop it. How to do change the way your mind works?

  2. i am so perfectionistic sometimes that perhaps it’s bad for me. because perfect to me may not be the same perfect for the other people and it gives me an inaccurate sense of the kind of things I should be aiming for. more often than not, I’m not able to do things “perfectly” and it bothers me more than it prolly should.

  3. I pulled the monstrosity of lace and tulle over my head. It felt as if I were crawling through a rainforest. I hated it, even before it fell to my toes. As the young woman from the boutique laced me up, my future mother-in-law beamed. I smiled back knowing this would never be THE dress. I would come back when she couldn’t be with me and then, I’d find the dress that fit my dreams perfectly.

Sometimes, she felt quite good about herself, but there was always someone who was smarter, prettier, more athletic, more social… She thought that if she could just be perfect, she’d be happy.   16. To be perfectly honest she was at wit’s end. For five years she had struggled to bring her love’s family together. Her love’s father would never budge an inch though, always refusing to become malleable and assuage the problems the family had. So now, as she quietly opened her tired eyes in the hospital, the white lights burning at first, she was surprised to see her father-in-law rocking her baby boy, his twin sister asleep in her cradle.

    “Sir?” She drawled sleepily…”You’re here.”

    “Of course. “ he said grinning happily. “They’re my grandchildren…They’re my family.”

With slight envy, he eyed the boys laughing and playing across the street on the same path home wishing he didn’t feel invisible. The scenario played itself out day in and day out.   24. perectly is how one can go about their day. or try to. even when we try out hardest, like trying to spell words correctly, it sodesn’t always hpan. Happen. Holy moly. Good think I don’t think I am perfectly perfect. I’m using backspace too much.

    Reminds me of those girls in high school with the makeup and the cheerleading and the boyfriends–they seem to handle their lives ‘perfectly’. hmm…

  34. Our night ended as perfectly as it could have; great company, tasty drinks & food, fun music & crowds, & a great adventure. The complete night was not perfect though, considering our RSVP was lost. Luckily that was taken care of right away & we went on with our night & had one awesome time.   39. I’m perfectly okay as I read the last line of the letter. How could I be anything but alright when his words are so eloquently written for me? The entire room, moments ago full of chattering individuals, is suddenly silent. The dazzlingly bright lights overhead must have been turned off, because I’m standing in the dark. The hot air, warning of summer, must have run off, because my hands are so numb and cold that I drop the paper onto the floor before me. The world around me is crumbling, but I’m perfectly okay.
